Good value ... hens seem to like it, what more can you ask.

Coop is well made - the instructions to build it need to be better it took 2 hours not 1 -- also it is not as large as quoted on the web !

Great price and good quality on the whole. Instructions not as good as they should be and it would be helpful if the parts were numbers.Well worth the money.

All went very smoothly, seems a good quality product. Some of the fastenings could be better( the one on the nesting box) whereas other are amazing( one to shut them in safely).

I recently bought a "Windsor on wheels" hen house with extension. My ex bat hens haven't arrived yet so I can only write of my own experience. Very pleased generally. Well packed, well identified nuts and bolts etc. The description and diagram could have been a bit clearer but having said that we managed it apart from 1 piece of wood left and we're not sure where that should go. The other thing is the clips that keep the extension attached to the main run fit ok when attaching but as soon as you move it all, the ground is obviously uneven and they won't lock so I'm going to look for bolts that might be a bit more flexible. We didn't feel you could put the handle at the end of the extension as it is much to heavy and awkward to move and would probably damage a part of it so we attached the handle to the open end of the main run (which does fit in side frame) so basically move the house/run first and then attach extension each time. I think this won't take a minute to do. The house drags a bit unless you lift it quite high on the wheels so I hope the girls will have a good grip! Maybe it was made for a perfect lawn but I don't have one and I imagine it will only get worse once the girls have scratched it up. Unless you are letting the hens out of the run everyday for a few hours (we have lots of foxes in our area, day and night) I think you definitely need an extension and would definitely not keep 8 hens. I'm only rescuing 5 and the hen welfare thought this would be ok.

The chicken coup arrived promptly as promised, unfortunately the package had been damaged and three parts had to be replaced. We sent email photos of the damaged parts and they arrived the next day. Assembly was easy, plans could have been clearer, the only real problem was the locating holes for the handles on one end was in the wrong place and needed re drilling. The perches keep falling out due to the supports not being deep enough. Despite the problems we are pleased with our purchase and service.

Absolutely happy with the product. Easy to construct and the chickens love it. My only piece of feedback is that on your website there is a count down for next day delivery. I managed to get in with minutes to spare. Then came a phone call for the delivery in three days time!

I felt that this coop was very well made and good quality. It did not take that long for the 2 of us to put it together either. Prior to writing the review though I wanted to use it for a few months so I could provide proper feedback. So the size is great. We have 3 large hybrid chickens and this is great for them. It would fit maybe one more but I would seriously suggest buying an extra run, especially if you will not be allowing them to roam free range. The unit is very secure and we have already had foxes attempt to get in and they where not successful - which is great news. I find it easy to clean and collect eggs. All products will have some negatives and I have found that the run going up to the coop is weak and after moving the coop a few times came loose. As such it now has to be fixed on after every move - although this has not proved difficult, just frustrating that it only lasted about a month before breaking. Not well though out and maybe it should be on a more flexible hinge! Also I have now noticed some mold starting to appear on the outside of the coop and underneath the roof on the outer section. As the wood was meant to have been treated this is not a good sign but hoping we can resolve this ourselves. These are my only negatives and so far the product has proved sturdy.

Great speed of delivery & my order was confirmed by phone within 12 hours. Unfortunately they sent me the wrong item. There is a fairly brusque person on the end of their phone but they did sort it out very quickly. I'm pleased with the product.

Eggcellent well priced product! Sturdy and the hens seem to love it! I've given a 4 star rating only because some of the instructions could have been a bit clearer to build it and had us scratching our heads foe a few minutes. If you have no problem with building things, then most probably a 5! Thank you for a well priced product.

The service was quick, the hen house good quality and easy to put together and the removable tray to facilitate cleaning very handy. My only two criticisms would be that the perches are a bit too narrow for the cups they sit in so are constantly falling off when the hens move about. They just needed to be a bit wider so they fitted snuggly but at the same time still being removable. I also found that the wheels don't move freely once attached to the house and rubbed against blocks so wheeling the hen house didn't happen. However there are two handles either end of the house so with two people, the house is very easy to move being light. It would also be useful to have a fox proof lock for the removable tray at both ends of the house - one is provided and is very useful but it provide me with more peace of mind to secure the tray at both ends.

Ordering was very quick and expected delivery extremely prompt. However, your courier company let things down as the expected delivery date was not met. This proved very frustrating, as it was nearly two days waiting in for the courier to arrive and several irate phone calls to the courier company who didn't appear that bothered. Also when I spoke to eggshell, the person I spoke to said that the couriers were always causing their customers problems, so I asked why this company was used then ! Once the goods had arrived we unpacked the boxes and everything was in perfect condition and very we'll packaged for transportation. Hope this feedback proves useful.

Eggshell called day after we placed the order with a delivery date. Much appreciated. The instructions were fairly easy to follow but some close up shots would be well received by future buyers. The chooks are happy in their new home and we've added some extra bolts on both doors for extra security. Fingers crossed the foxes stay well clear!

Purchased The Granary house and run for my 3 girls, this arrived the next day minus the run which was promptly delivered the next morning as promised, The house and run were easy to assemble and very sturdy my only criticism would be the ramp fell apart the 1st time it was used but different screws seem to have rectified this matter. Delivery charge seemed a little excessive but all in all an excellent house.

Easy to put together and delivered very fast. Suitable for 3 average sized hens not 4 - 6 as stated in the advertisement. We have 3 hens and one is a smaller breed the other 2 are average size. One average size and the smaller one roost on the first pole but the second roosting pole is too close to allow the third to roost so she goes into the nest box, they should be about 10"-12" apart. We also left the divider out of the nesting box as our girls wouldn't have fit. We've been keeping hens for a several years and had to destroy their old large coop due to red mites. This one is nice but not suitable for more than 3 hens unless they're bantams.

Its a great little hutch, ideal for our 2 guinea pigs. The only things to improve it would be a hinge on the roof so you can lift it to add/remove hay and bedding. The slide out tray is brilliant but you have to open the little door on the front to remove all the big bedding, otherwise it either jams the tray or falls onto the grass. The 2nd thing to improve it would be a sliding door to go across the top of the ramp. Our chicken coup has one (also from you) and I assumed this would too. Our pigs are babies and I would like to be able to shut them up top at night. Also they would be warmer/draught free come the winter if there was a door. Easy to put together, quite sturdy and quick delivery. Just waiting for a cover as it was out of stock.

There are brilliant things about the Betty on wheels hen house and pen and then some bad aspects. The side opening door easily falls off its hinges when you open it (my land is not flat) and there is a big gap (draughts) either side of it. It is a roomy house but the perches are on a slant and the nest boxes are above them in height so you know where the chickens are going to sleep! Definitely needs rectifying. If you fit another nest box in place of the opening door (nest boxes fit well) then you have no entrance into the house to catch chickens or whatever. If it only had a back opening door as well this aspect would be perfect but not of course if it fits badly! The pen has wooden roof support in the middle and one side arrived with the nail in it already broken. It should be packed more carefully and marked up as fragile. Then there is the aspect of the pop door which with the pen fitted cannot be accessed (we used string etc to solve the problem) . Apparently the automatic door system is fitted inside (was going to get it but don't see how I could operate it!). Not sure how this works but every time you want to change it you would have to reach inside and disconnect it or something and if you fitted the second nest box then no entry. The pen prevents you fitting one outside. Of course if you don't use the pen then no problem. Overall compared with other houses I have bought I am pleased with it and no doubt we can modify it over time. Just such a shame that such a roomy house has not been better thought out. The poorly fitting door makes you think they expect you to have another next box which would be great if you still had access to the house! In its favour it seems to be robust and unlikely to get blown over and the wheels and handles make it easier to move although I can't manage by myself as I had hoped. However our ground is sloping and uneven so on a level surface perhaps I could!
