“I started an unlock with Direct Unlocks on Saturday through my AT&T account for my old iPhone 11 (so it could be traded for full value). I was a little disappointed in the cost ($25 to see if the phone was eligible and $54 for the actual unlock), especially for something I thought AT&T could do remotely. It also took until Tuesday to get the unlock completed. I was ultimately satisfied, as the lock worked and I could trade phone for the full value. Thanks for the service.”

“They got it done. I don't know if there was an error on one of our ends but I couldn't get ahold of live support for 2 days or email them. Finally responded to me and they expedited the process and got done a few hours later. NOTE: after the 20~some dollars for eligibility test there is a 50~some dollar unlock fee. This surprising enough was NOT a scam. They did what they needed to and it worked. I saw other reviews about that they had good communication, so I think it was an error in the system.”

“There was anticipation of an immediate result but I should have read the reviews first... this was a slow and steady race.
Cons : The reason for only 4 stars was the unexpected requirement to pay twice for the unlock, Number one was an "Eligibility Check" for $24.99 USD ($37.40 AUD) and then the unlocking request for $59 USD ($88.31 AUD). I was not advised at any time I would need to go through a 2-step process or pay a second amount of money for this unlock. I could have purchased another device for this cost.
Pros: Telstra was useless in providing an unlock code. I requested it many times and all they could say was to return it to the place of purchase for it to be looked at. Too bad if that is a cross-country trip to do that... So frustrating. Entering the IMEI and having Direct unlocks do the leg work and them also getting nowhere with Telstra was not surprising, BUT when they went direct to the manufacturer, I was VERY HAPPY. Yes, it took 6 days to get my code but once the code was entered, my device started working with the Telstra Sim in it.
I would recommend direct unlocks to anyone.”

As explained on checkout, the Eligibility Check is a separate, up-front service — we “perform a variety of checks, including checking for lost/stolen status, correct network, phone history as well as Activation Lock status.” (quote) The Eligibility Check is non-refundable: “Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable.” (quote) Also, “It is not possible to cancel your order once it is paid for. Pre-orders, eligibility check, and unlocking costs are incurred immediately upon placing your order.” (quote)
If an iPhone needs extra work you would have seen a note that “a Premium Service may be required in addition to the Standard Unlocking Payment. This will be shown in their status.” (quote) Your order status shows Unlock Complete, so no further payments should be necessary.
