“Waited 2 months for my multi fuel stove then wrong 1 turned up had to speak to 5 different people but finally getting it sorted out had to wait another 10 days for the kit to arrive wasn’t the best”

“I have been looking at replacing my 18 year old Hunter Herald 8 with an eco version ready for the new regs. I opted for a Hunter Allure 7. I was able to select a delivery day and had a time window notification. The stove came with register plate, 1m flue pipe and gloves. Without any exaggeration the Allure 7 produces twice the heat using less than half the wood. The huge glass door remains 100% clear all the time. The burn control is pinpoint accurate so you can have exactly the fire you want all the time. I would highly recommend Direct Stoves and the Allure”

“Back and sides are two completely different bricks. I didn’t check them before they were fitted, the back was well wrapped and so I left it wrapped to avoid any damage, once they were fitted behind my log burner it was to late…. Back and sides do not match!! Two completely different brick types and two completely different pointing styles. To say I’m devastated is an understatement! To late to send back!”

“It would have been installed quicker if we had known it was for us as the address was right but the name on the container was not our name it was a builders name with the same address. The fire is fantastic and the heat we have from is great. Thank you Mrs Daphne Forsyth”

“Inaccurate timeliness which really messes up the installation. Twice I order for 48 hour delivery only to find its around 6 to 12 weeks lead time. Its only good value when you deliver or have supporting otherwise is a bloody con!!!”

“I rang Direct stoves back in January 2021 to ask questions about the Cast tech horizon 5. I then refurbished an existing fire place to take my chosen wood burner. I found the specifications on the website invaluable in allowing me to ensure I had the right distances from combustible materials. I finally ordered the wood burner about 4 weeks ago (Oct 2021). At the point of order I decided to ring again just to check if I had considered everything before making my final choice. All my questions were answered fully. A few days later we received a call to say the Horizon 5 they had in stock ready to ship was damaged - therefore, they were getting me another one from the supplier. I was very grateful for this. I would have been so disappointed to finally get my burner only to find it damaged and have to immediately return it! The delivery was rearranged - to suit me… and it arrived beautifully packed and in perfect condition. Once its installed I will upload a few pictures. Thanks for all your help and guidance.”

“I decided to opt for the monthly payment options and despite being told all was accepted, it took almost a week after my original order for them to confirm the order. I had to chase them 3 times to track down what was happening, the online “track my order” didn’t work. Everyone I spoke to was polite and tried to help but was left frustrated after spending £700. I then had to chase the delivery and was told someone would call the following week which they did and it finally arrived 3 days later (10 days after my order was placed). The fire was delivered to my door only. The driver explained he was very busy and left leaving me to take it inside. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition. After opening I discovered the extra “wood” effect was not included after I had paid £50 extra for it. Another call to them to check I had been sent the correct one and was told the fire comes as standard and the extra wood was out of stock but would be sent separately. Fine, I can accept that but would have been good to know! The fire looks good and the quality is ok. I’m a little disappointed with the small screws you had to remove to add the wood as the paint chipped it. The top section could be designed better. Happy with the light and is fairly realistic of flames. It’s not clear on the description but this a fan heater and on the high setting it is very noisy which is a shame. Overall I am happy, it’s makes a lovely focal point in the room. I did my research and I believe it’s the best you can get without having a real log fire!”

“A delivery company lost our first parcel but the team and a specific individual did everything they could to help get the second parcel out as we needed the part for fitting. Hugely appreciated and refreshing to see customers (me) be looked after when it’s normally blamed on a delivery company. Would definitely buy from here again.”
