Our stove was in stock and delivered very quickly the only reason it’s not a 5 star review is the delivery process was pretty rubbish. The driver couldn’t fit his trolley through our front gate so had to go around the back and he complained and chuntered all the way! He eventually abandoned it in the middle of the back garden. I’d read the write up saying that delivery drivers wouldn’t bring it into the house and weren’t responsible for it but the attitude he displayed was atrocious. It’s an outsourced delivery company but in the end the customer service and rudeness of the delivery drivers does reflect on direct stoves unfortunately! Just be aware that you’ll need a few strong people and a sack barrow to haul your purchase to a secure place!

Difficult to provide a positive review on the basis of a considerable delay in receiving delivery of our stove. Had everything lined up for install and this delay (which has been classed now as ‘mid-January’) is impossible to manage (especially given they stated it was ‘in stock’)

Great service from Direct Stoves. Good price on stove & stove delivered ahead of schedule. Staff very helpful when called to chase up order and stove lovely.

Love the stove! Fits in great. Installation team went above and beyond fitting it. All I would ask is if your marketing department would stop sending me emails. I have tried to unsubscribe on several occasions but still get the emails.

I would highly recommend this company, there was always someone to talk to not a machine and so helpful, i purchased a wood burning stove and a stove pipe these were received on time and in excellent condition, we had to return the stove pipe as wasn't required and was very easy to do.

We needed help & advice on purchasing a new wood burning stove as we required a small stove to fit in an existing opening. We popped into the Wellington Road branch & after a chat ordered the Salamander Hobbit Stove . Great service & lots of good advice! Thank you

I bought a Woodford Didsbury 5 and thought the price was excellent. Also had £25 discount and the stove was delivered on my requested day. Super company to deal with and I recommend using them if you are in the market for a woodburner.

The Portway Arundel deluxe which I ordered came well packed and has now been installed. Great stove which was recommended by stove fitter. Certainly knocks out plenty of heat and easy to use.

Stove delivered on time with no issues, when I did contact customer services they were quick to respond. The courier delivered the stove to my garden gate which saved me a good deal of work as it is kerbside delivery. The stove itself … a L’bode outdoor fire place is stunning and belts out the heat, it’s sold as corten rusty finish and this takes time to develop. A clever feature is the transit wheels which are removable

We did not get good customer service from the staff at Stanley Green, it was our fitter who told us he couldn't fit our fire because the heart was damaged in the warehouse?? We went to complain in the showroom and the bad attitude from the sales team was awful 😖 it was so what?? Nothing to do with them, they don't know what's happening in the warehouse, it ruined our experience with your company 😒

Our understanding is that the hearth on your order was found to be damaged when the warehouse team went to dispatch this, meaning that this had to be reordered with some delay to the installation work. We can see that a member of the showroom sales team did contact you on the 23/10/25 to apologise, having made arrangements with the manufacturer and the installation team regarding the new hearth. All the peolpe you speak to are great however they never call back and make false promises. its a shame really, product is great so no issue there they just need to follow through on promises made.
