Wry happy with my out door oven but after the 3 fire in it the middle plate section has loads of cracks in it, hopefully it lasts

Online purchase very easy and issue raised re a potential defect on the barbecue was dealt with quickly and professionally. Didn’t find the staff member in store particularly helpful when trying to view the product prior to online purchase.

Helios eco stove perfect for me, my family and the house. Fitters really helpful and friendly, did a brilliant job. Only downside was the delivery company, no help whatsoever. Direct Stoves should use another company.

Firstly just to say we are really pleased with our new Gazco electric stove. It’s great quality, very heavy and the flames look quite realistic. The heat output seems good. What we were disappointed with was the delivery of it. We ordered from direct stoves because the website said our chosen stove was ‘in stock’ and on a 3-5 day delivery. Almost three weeks and several phone calls later, it finally arrived. So that’s why we’ve rated only 4 stars. I’d rather the website gave a realistic delivery time than saying 3-5 days. But the delivery guy was great and we are very happy with it now that it’s here.

The product was excellent! The delivery service was extremely poor . On the day delivery they turned up and loaded the stove on a crate and the stove was extremely heavy and we kindly asked could they bring it into house & they refused just dumped it on the driveway and left it there! Sorry if your paying over £600 think that’s really poor service

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your review. It's good to hear that you have been impressed with the recently received stove. Regarding delivery, we can see that you had chosen the standard free one-man delivery service when ordering online. As per the delivery information available on our website, "if [the driver] cannot operate the pallet truck safely due to gravel/stone drives, steps, or slopes as examples they will only be able to leave the item at the first available access point. They will try to assist as best they can but can only stay at each property for a limited period. They cannot bring the goods inside your house and will leave the goods with you on the delivery pallet". We do offer a two-man premium service to account for the weight of items, at an additional £30, via which a courier would have been able to bring the stove into the property. Because you did not opt for this, it will not have been safe for the driver to transport the goods beyond your driveway. This being said, we are sorry for any confusion or inconvenience. We did have a communication problem with our delivery as the haulage company did not deliver on the date it was expected. But once Direct Stoves were told of the problem they chased the haulage company and resolved to our satisfaction

I have a large inglenook fireplace that would be ideal for a gas stove, so I approached Direct Stoves a couple of months ago. The staff I spoke to were helpful and there was a good range of stoves on offer at reasonable prices. I would say that the whole process requires significant effort from the customer, as you will be directed to a sister company about the installation. This then involves a survey, arranging a local chimney sweep, a cowl to be installed by a third company recommended by them and finally the stove delivery/installation. All of this requires to be organised by the customer and possibly all of this could be better co-ordinated by the company. However, having followed through the procedure I have to say I am delighted with the end product. The stove looks great and should be much warmer for winter, plus the installer was very skilled and tidy. There was also an issue with a card payment for the stove itself being declined causing a security alert with my bank, and then repeat the payment process. Further the installation date (sister company) was delayed a couple of times due to uncontrollable circumstances. Overall it was worth sticking with the process for the end result, thanks!

Having brought several items from Direct stoves without any issue and a fast delivery I was amazed that when I tried to buy a woodburner from their website there was some technical issue in that there was no way to put it into the basket. So I phoned them and got through to some girl in the messaging centre to explain the problem but basically she did not give a shiete, I said that I can purchase elsewhere but prefered to use direct stoves due to good service and she just said there is no one around and nothing she can do, no interest in sales and I suspect she was working from home in her pyjamas.

Wonderful item perfect for us, but the wording regarding extra flue etc is not clear and the staff do not enquire about your set up to advise, which is a shame as it would have saved me having to re-order and pay extra delivery. Other than that I would have given a 5 star as the product is lovely.

As you will be aware, the website gives an option for "No Flue Kit Required - Self Supplied/Bespoke System" in addition to allowing the purchase of a standardised balanced flue kit. This is because many gas fitters prefer to either arrange the flue kit themselves or give customers a list of parts to build a quotation for a bespoke system through ourselves. In the event that you had queried your selection of this 'No Flue Kit Required' option, our sales team would have been happy to advise further and look into provision of any additional items. Easy to order and a good price. Would have given 5 stars but they forgot to include the stove's extra legs but they followed soon after with paint knocked off.

Easy to order only problem was the delivery date did specify which date but they then changed it to week before easily sorted when rang up back to the original date although part of the order was delivered the day before it should have been and was left on the drive whilst everyone was out at work so perhaps the courier’s they use need addressing. Apart from that no problems at all.

Truth told, every indication on the order suggests that this was placed via the website with a date of 15/3/24 requested on the customer side; we can see that our Dispatch team was contacted and that we were able to assist in rearranging this. This said, we are sorry to hear of the split delivery. As you may be aware, we work with a number of different delivery partners (if, for example, a stove has been ordered with a liner kit to be fulfilled from a different supplier). While they aim to meet expectations for delivery as much as is possible, the couriers do sometimes find it necessary to make alternative arrangements. We do appreciate the opportunity to feed back to the suppliers and to try and ensure the continued high level of service that we strive towards.
