“The lights I got are good but supposed to be on copper coloured wire. I always wonder why such little lights need such a big battery pack? They were delivered in a good time and work so that is all great.”

“I got a great result with the kit and would use them again. However, I wanted it for a standard lamp and it isn't made for that - why not make a standard lamp kit? I had to fiddle out an acceptable solution to hide the fitting. I think it is expensive just to buy a single lampshade kit. Thankfully I spotted the youtube tutorial for the folded seam - I can't imagine why this isn't the standard option. I used a beautiful silk dupion, which does fray - it would have looked shabby with a visible cut edge.”

“I recently ordered a 35mm self-adhesive panel for lining my new bedroom lampshade. The quality was good and it was easy to trim and fit. I don't know if anyone else has done this to a lampshade (probably) but instead of having the white side visible, I turned it round and stuck some of my curtain fabric to the sticky side, which is now what you see when looking up into the inside of the shade. It was a first for me and I'm quite pleased with the result. Perhaps Dannell's could produce a double-sided self-adhesive lining for just this purpose?”

“Initially the lights did not work. After double checking all batteries I found that the splice between the wires from the battery pack and those from the string of lights was loose. Once that was repaired the lights are operating properly and just what I wanted.”
