Order no 213136/181223/30 My order was only part received just before Christmas which meant that I was unable to complete an order for a client. Very disappointed. I only received the roll of double sided pvc and not the rings at all.

Sadly I had to return the lamp frames as they were not the shape I was expecting. The package arrived very promptly from order - but my return has not been acknowledged and no refund so far??!

I have address with Aramex london and its linked to my address in Lebanon. My order was divided into 2 packages. I received one and the second was lost at Aramex office in UK as your Factory when they dispatched my order they forgot to mention my full right address, even though i already mention it when i ordered and i also sent email to ask and insist to mention the full one. They sent me confirmation that they did, but unfortunately, it wasnt and thats why not received to my address in Lebanon. I sent emails and the Factory manager kept confirming that the address was full and correct till i showed them the label that it wasnt. Anyway i did the full follow up till i founded my order and now it will be delivered to me in one week. So its delayed and in that case my lampshade date of delivery will be delayed too. I was really disappointed and i was always in contact with Diane who tried to help me and doing her best. But seriously i told her how an international company like yours do such a mistake and keep insisting that everything was right and this is the second time im having the same issue. I can only thank Diane who tried to assist me and do her best. And other services was poor.

I have only written poor as the item I ordered including more postage cost was actually not in stock and this was not written on the website at the time. I had the items sent to my sister expecting to receive them prior to my return to France. Sadly not as they were sent after I had left!! Not happy!

Tiny amount of fabric, enormous amount of packaging. Slow to arrive, probably due to package size. Had already ordered fabric from a competitor by the time it arrived, sorry news isn’t good.

I have used Darnell’s lampshade kits in the past and found them very good and easy to use. Unfortunately this time the bottom rings provided were slightly bigger than the top resulting in the seam being skewed. The rings are supposed to be the same for a drum lampshade.

If, as you say, my opinion matters to you, then why has no-one at Dannells responded to my e-mail of 4th September (as detailed below)?? Sat 04/09/2021 17:18 Good afternoon, Earlier today we finally got around to using the small oval lamp shade making kit that we ordered from you back in June. Unfortunately, we are not very happy with 'the finished product' and although we appreciate that there will inevitably be a bit of a 'learning curve' to overcome when using your kits, in this instance we do not think that the problem was self-inflicted. We were using your small (200mm) oval kit and having followed the instructions very carefully & to the letter, everything was fine right up until we got to items 22 & 23 i.e. 'pinch the fabric, pull taut and fold onto the sticky rings' & 'use the finishing tool to push the fabric behind the rings'...... there was simply too great a width of material to tuck over/around/behind the rings. N.B. We had kept the rings very close to the edge of the backing panel when rolling (i.e. no more than 1mm away from) so with the kit provided we don't see how we could have done any better than we did. At this point, it seemed that the only thing to be done was to attempt to trim the width of the excess material to allow it to be tucked over/around/behind the taped rings. Had we known/anticipated that the material would be too wide before we rolled the panels onto the rings then trimming off 2/3mm in a straight line would have been fairly simple to do......but attempting to do after the material had been rolled into the oval shape proved to be extremely difficult and inevitably resulted in a wavy line / poor finish i.e. a long way from the professional finish that we had been looking for from this product. Obviously at this point, even though we have plenty of spare material, without a spare plastic backing panel and another roll of double-sided tape, we cannot simply dismantle and start again. It is clearly too late for our attempt at lamp shade making, but to avoid others suffering a similar fate, could you please review the width of the 'release paper' provided & check that it is compatible with this smaller sized ring (i.e. for the 200mm oval shade). Paid for DFS postage, to get goods on time,, arrived far too late so couldn’t use it! Delivery cost more these the item itself!!

When I first found this company I thought wow what amazing stuff, spent quite a lot of money with them. Wasn’t until a suggestion on Amazon came up for their products that I realised they were actually ripping people off. I can buy their products cheaper with free next day delivery from Amazon rather than paying £7.14 postage and waiting a week for delivery. They really need to look into their postage costs. I will not be purchasing for them again until they change.

I was looking for a backing for a roller blind, which would achieve a blackout type effect. When I rang to ask about product suitability, I was given a recommendation which I went on to purchase. Unfortunately that product was completely unsuitable, and not what how advisor had described it. Not only was it disappointing in that respect, it was also quite an expensive purchase for what it turned out to be- double-sided adhesive plastic. I wouldn't not recommend Dannell's, but my experience was not ideal.

The products are great and sent out quickly. However your packaging system is ridulous. Wasteful and unnecessary. Boxes much larger than the product, which are then in even larger boxes. None of the products I have purchased recently were breakable but the packaging was beyond ridiculous and not at all good for the environment in that respect

Well what can I say, I bought 3 lampshade kits from you which I am happy with but the problem is I live in France. My lampshade kits came to £35.00 but to have them delivered by DHL for 29.90 euros is a rip off and feel very annoyed that I have practically paid double for the privilege. Why can’t you use Royal Mail. The delivery costs should be shown up front before placing an order. I will not be using you again.

10 days from order to shipping. when shipped, DPD never sent out of England due to missing PID, I was never asked told that this was an issue for ordering. I ordered October 19th, it was expected November 4th, but returned to Dannells. Every order have been either disappeared, broken or been extremely delayed, so Dannells may be tip top, but not the courier for abroad orders... I do not know if this order is damaged, but last was damaged and late. But your info/support is very good...
