I used Danells to buy equipment to make a lampshade. All the reviews are good which is making me feel that there fake. The pvc sheet was all wrinkled and bad quality making the materials wrinkly, the pvc strip wouldn't come off which damaged the material that i spent a long time making, so tried to use double sided tape i had left over which wrecked it even more. And after all that I never used the bad quality plastic rolled edge tool because my project was wrecked. Thanks Dannells

We purchased several different types of backings (mirror gold and double-sides clear & white) and of each several meters of length together with some fabrics from Dannells. The order process was fine, we were helped good in organizing shipping (which took a very long time) but the shipping cost was very high and the products are also rather expensive. Nevertheless, the fabrics are beautiful and of excellent quality so we were happy to produce shades with them. However, be careful if you wish to use any of the mentioned backings in combination with very thin, transparent or expensive tissues. Due to the protective foil being paper (instead of plastic), the film cracks easily and is often places broken resulting in the glue being exposed and the backing no longer fully flat. We have had many returns of shades after 5-6 months (when the resellers sold them) due to complains where the fabrics show dark areas where these cracks originally were. We could even reproduce this effect and it lead to us suffering a lot of damage. After contacting customer care, despite the fact I mentioned (and filmed) I was able to reproduce; they kept claiming their products are flawless so I'm not happy with these products, the experience or the result. We won't be ordering again obviously.

This was my first order with Dannells , I live in Spain but I was in the Uk when I ordered that way I could safe the hassle and money with the new tax situation after the Brexit. I paid for next day delivery as I needed to check the order before I was going away and it took many more days to ridge us. Unfortunately I didn’t realized that I needed an extra part for the empire lamp and the lamp is useless without ( I don’t understand why is not in the kit) my only option now is ordering again and paid for extra delivery cost and extra tax as we live in Spain or buy from the European supplier and paid more for the same items. If the delivery were dispatched for next delivery as it said I wouldn’t be having this problem.As this was my first order to check the quality of the material for my new developing business I am not very impressed. The Quality of material seems to be very good but it is a quite pricey.

Bought a 5m roll of gold stick it corners cut at an angle and a defect running through the roll making 10% of it unusable

Dannells has sent me multiple emails after 1 simple purchase. This is extremely annoying and guarantees im never using them again. I am also marking them as spam. I normally do my best to untick marketing emails but sometimes I may miss them.

They sent me someone else's items with their invoice inside the box and my address on the box. Two of us now do not have the items we ordered. I needed mine on the day of delivery and that target has been missed. Not sure about the other person for whom this was part of a larger order. They too will be waiting for a delivery that will never arrive.

The measly 1.3m I received at an exorbitant total cost of £5.64 - £3.50 of which was somewhat excessive postage, was no way near enough what I needed. It was unpackaged and obviously rolled off a much larger roll. I had to use half of it to secure fabric at the top of frame and just small sections for the lower part. Then I had to secure it by hand stitching as I was covering both the outer and inner of the shade. I would not use Dannells again for something like this, especially as it took a long time for this small envelope to arrive!

Lining paper was not the correct size so contacted to rectify. Had to prompt after a week of no reply and then was just sent new roll of paper meaning a full half metre of expensive material was wasted and I had to disassemble, clean down and start again. I made this known and not even an apology.

Customer service non existent if you are not satisfied with quality of a product. Ordered Chic fabric but not happy with quality and colours and whilst I can appreciate companies don't like to refund on cut fabric this is not because I changed my mind but due to poor quality. Now have over £90.00 of unusable fabric at a cost of £10.79 per metre.

Item arrived late and I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for another parcel. Glue was rubbish and the fabric was cheap looking. Won’t be using this firm again.

I placed my order a month ago I understand the pandemic going on.. I emailed customer service and had no response I have emailed a 2nd time and had no answers to my questions. And I haven't yet recieved my item and from the status isn't even close to being finished. Feeling rather disappointed at the lack of communication and lack of answers.

I purchased self adhesive binding tape 8 white 2 black. I received 1 roll of white binding tape and no black binding tape. I'm told that I did not purchase any black even though It's on my invoice. I'm very dissatisfied with this company and will not do business with them ever again.

Nothing like the proof I was sent, in the proof image was full height of the shade and the background needs to match the image looks terrible can’t be used
