Totally my daughter’s fault but she ordered ballet and tap shoes but selected the child 6.5 in the tap shoes rather than the adult 6.5. We realised the mistake immediately but I-couldn’t find anywhere to cancel or amend the order. I then sent an email to customer services and had no response. Some days later II then received notification that the order had been dispatched. So now we have had to return the tap shoes and are awaiting a refund. Not Dance directs fault we ordered the wrong size but not great customer service all the same.

I am sorry that there are delays in processing your returns as our returns warehouse is operating a strict covid-secure process. Returns are being processed in date order. Please allow us some time to work through them and you will receive an automated e-mail as soon as your return has been dealt with. If you requested a refund then this will be processed as soon as possible.

My resolution tights were marked as “tan” and they came in a strange dark green colour. No use for my show and didn’t have time to order new ones

The character shoes we received were not true to size. So many dance websites say that their shoes will be true to size and you nearly always have to order up. Please make your sizing clearer! The ones we ordered are on their way back to you for an exchange. Shoes overall looked good though.

I am sorry that the shoes did not fit. Different brands work to different sizing patterns and we use their sizing charts on the website. I am pleased that you were happy overall with the shoe and hope that the replacement is better.

I am sorry you have had no response to your query. The ballet shoes you are waiting for are due here in early October and will be despatched as soon as we get them.

Didn’t receive a confirmation email on receipt of my order. Shoes arrived in good time but were very small so had to return. Returned by Royal Mail. Haven’t received an email on receipt or refund yet. Awaiting an update. Would like to reorder but not sure what size I should order. Otherwise, the shoes seemed of good quality and were priced fairly.

I ordered 2 items and have only received one. My daughter needed the black tights last week so I called on Thursday to see what had happened. The person I spoke to said the item was being processed and she would call me back to let me know when I would receive it. I’m still waiting - and disappointed as I could have ordered elsewhere and had them by now.

I am sorry you have had to wait for your tights. I can confirm they were shipped out from here yesterday and Royal Mail expect to deliver it on 30/09/2020 between 9:04am - 1:04pm.

They sold “it of stock” items. And there were no explanation nor expected delivery date when the other items were delivered.

After a prolonged absence of classes, we are seeing higher than normal levels of Dancewear purchasing. Whilst we hold over double the inventory of any of our other competitors, that doesn’t always mean we ourselves aren’t impacted occasionally by our own suppliers during this time. Whilst we always hope to despatch everything from stock, sometimes there can be delays. Your items are due early in October so should be with you soon.

I am sorry you are not happy with the shoes. Different brands have a slightly different fit and the width of the foot also impacts on what size is needed. If you want to return them please contact hello@dancedirect.com who will help you

Very poor customer service. Received a wrong size item, phoned up only to be told to email with the proof in a form of photos. Received a reply back 5 days later saying the item is correct size and to order a different size if I am not happy. It’s clearly wrong size as the shoe only covers half of the foot. Are you advising to order 3 sizes up the regular size?

Unfortunately I have had to send back all three pairs of shoes that I ordered as they were all too small, despite ordering a half size bigger than my daughters usual shoe size. All three pairs were the 1st Position brand, maybe these come up smaller. The box was damaged on arrival (not Dance Directs fault I know). The inner sole on one of the tap shoes shoes was not inserted/stuck in properly when manufactured and the heel inserts to cover the heels on the inside of the jazz shoes were not stuck down properly. Again, maybe this is an issue with 1st Position products.

Sizing of the dance shoes was completely wrong on the website, returned for an exchange - takes forever, and now without dance shoes - frustrating!

I placed an order and then it took 11 days to be disiatched. In total 2 weeks from start to finish. It doesn’t state anywhere on the website of delays. When I contacted the company they got back to me after my order had been dispatched. Very poor delivery service and worse customer service.

I have contacted you three days ago due to my purchase of jazz shoes arriving with a scuff mark on and had no response. Usually have a good experience with purchases from you but service seems to not be as great as it once was.
