“We booked the hotel by telephone for a five night stay in April/May. The lady in attendance was proficient, helpful and friendly. I was a littlest surprised by the terms of payment, however it was a most efficient experience.”

“Useful website - needed to see bedrooms before booking - perhaps it was me but I didn't find this as easy when you were already trying to sort out a date! Otherwise it didn't take long to receive confirmation once submitted.”

“I went onto the Country Hotel Breaks website and onto a hotel of my choice, which I thought had taken me directly to the hotel website, stupidly! I then booked 2 rooms, the only option was having early/late checkout, which I didn't need, but nevertheless we booked. Only to find at the payment stage, a further £20 Booking fee. When I realised what had happened, I realised it was too late to cancel as a charge of £35 per room would be charged, so lesson learnt, won't be booking with you again. And I don't really wish to receive marketing emails, not even 24 hours after being on the website.”

Thank you for your review, although it is disappointing to receive 3 stars. The booking fee is included in the price from the very start of the booking process and not added on at the end, this is so it is upfront at the beginning rather than added on at the end like some booking agents do. “Simplicity itself to make the booking. Had made a comment on the booking form to the effect a guest in our party used a cane to aid mobility. Was surprised and pleased to receive a telephone the following evening saying the comment had been noted and asked if there was anything they could do help with this to aid the guest, Customer service at its best,,,,”
