Trading grain and milling flour in the heart of the Cotswolds since the 1800s. “I started buying from Matthews Cotswold in lockdown and discovered flour so much nicer than that of my local supermarket. I accept the cost of postage for the quality of the bread I can make (mainly in my breadmaker it has to be said).”

“I found Matthews Cotswold Flour during the pandemic when all other had none. Have been using for my bread ever since and particularly like their Cotswold Crunch. I add extra malta barley for a lovely bread. Highly recommended.”

“I started buying Cotswold flour a few years ago so that I could have a reliable flour for my trusty bread maching (which I have had now for over 25 years!). But it was during lockdown that I realised I could buy in bulk from them direct. So glad that I did, and then realised that I could collect from the mill, as I live only about an hour away and its always so nice to visit the Cotswolds. So anything for an excuse. The bread is wonderful to use - I use the canadian white and the Cotswold crunch. So thanks.”

“I am quite satisfied with you flour. It's your delivery that I have a problem with. WHY do I have to place a minimum order of £60 before I get free delivery? I also order from shiptons who offer free delivery with £30 order. Either you are using the wrong carrier or are just trying to make customers buy more. This is nevertheless very irksome when I need to put in a small top up order.”

“I buy a range of Cotswold flours for breadmaking, mostly in a breadmaker. All the flours are tasty and blend well together in various mixes, usually spelt, dark rye and eight grain or cotswold crunch for my usual loaves. Since discovering Cotswold flour in lockdown I have not used any other flour since.”

“I use Matthews flour for all my baking; bread, cakes, pizza, pies etc. and wouldn't use anything else! I have tried many of the flours and love the different flavours and textures, with consistantly good results. Delivery is prompt if unable to collect from site”

“Sorry I will not, much to my disappointment, be purchasing from you in future as the postage is exorbitant. Last time I purchased the postage was more than the five bags of flour. I have now found a company whose postage os more that half the price I last paid with Matthews Cotswold Flour. SORRY”

“Excellent flours, well described and very tasty. Especially love the eight grain and the Canadian white for sourdough baking. Delivery is rapid and the prices are good value. All in all double plus good, as a famous Mr. Blair once said.”
