“The flour products are consistent which makes baking easier and I have never been dissapointed with the qualty over the period of time I have used Cotswold. I started baking 5 years ago and by trial and error and my Panasonic breadmaker and I am now producing consistent results. A refrence to a suitable book, or detail of how the proportions of flour/yeast/butter & water interact with the various flours would be very useful for a newbie like myself especially with flour from the less well known grains.”

“I use to make my own bread many years ago but due to illnesses I stopped. My wife brought me a bread machine recently so naturally I wanted to use only the best flour. I researched online and Cotswold flour kept popping up as one of the best . So I brought a variety of flour form Cotswold flour and I am not disappointed. The quality of the mill is brilliant and the bread that it produces is outstanding. Keep up the good work and thank you”

“All OK unless you have a problem, then you find customer service is horrendous. I had 2 issues recently: 1. I had to throw away 5 bags of plain flour as I found them full of weevils, I contacted customer services about this and although I got a response within a few days I was told this had been passed on to the complaints dept. No reply after a week so replied to original email, I received a reply to say it had been chased up, another week passed and still no contact from the complaints dept, again another email sent and reply received to say it had been chased up, and again no contact after a week, emailed again to be told the person in complaints was off but I'd receive contact on the Sunday, yeah you guessed it no contact. I eventually received a reply several days later (well over 3 weeks since my original email), telling me what the issue was and they'd like to send me 10 bags of flour as a gesture of goodwill and asking what I wanted and for my address and the order would be passed to the warehouse, I replied the same day with my details. A week passed with no reply and no flour, I resent my email incase it hadn't been received, again no reply and at the time of writing this review 12 days have passed with no reply and no flour. 2. Order placed for 25 bags of Canadian flour, had the usual delay in despatch but only received 2 of my 3 parcels (15 bags of flour) the 3rd showed as damaged in transit, returned to supplier. So I sent an email off to inform of what had happened and to request replacements to be sent out, no reply after 3 days, chased again, no reply after 4 days, so now a week after non delivery and I've still not had a response. Customer service is truly horrendous, I will be looking elsewhere in future as over the 5 years of using them they clearly are not staffed up enough and regularly oversell themselves for their actual capability. I truly don't know if I will receive my flour before xmas and will probably have to buy some elsewhere so I can do my Xmas baking.”

“Delivery timescale is not acceptable. I placed an order on 26th November and it still hasn't been despatched. Whilst I have received an email apologising for the delay and offering a refund that's not really the point. Black Friday deals, discounts etc are clearly intended to boost sales but if the resources necessary to process the increase in sales aren't in place to cope, you will inevitably end up with disappointed customers.”

“I bake bread in a bread machine. This is the best flour I have found having tried many different brands. The results are excellent, producing malty, rich bread with just a light crunch which adds interest and goodness. Good website, excellent service, so would totally recommend.”
