“I used the razor for the first time yesterday. Normally I alternate between a Gillette Fusion Flex ball Proglide and a Panasonic electric razor. I have been using the electric razor less and less as despite a new set of cutters, it takes me twice as long as a manual razor to get the close shave that I like. The Gillette razor is good but I found the blades did not last long and I did not like the balance of the razor itself. I have been pleased with the Cornerstone razor which has given me a good close clean shave and I like the balance of the razor.. I was concerned that the blade design might be less rigid than the Gillette flex ball but have not found that to be the case. Hopefully, the blade will last longer than the Gillette one - I plan on changing it every week. So to sum up, so far the razor is doing everything you promised - well done!”

“Generally OK but..... 1. its impossible to shave under the nose 2. the blades get clogged 3. if you bang the blade head on the sink to help unclog it the plastic arm breaks quite quickly -- not the first few time/days but soonish after 4. the plastic arm always breaks in the same place so its either a general design fault or designed to break after a certain amount of time If these things can be resolved it could be a good product - still a bit pricey”

“I've used all of your products for 5 days now and I admit I was a bit sceptical but WoW I am so impressed. Having been shaving for 30 years it was never a task I enjoyed and I looked forward to the weekends when I didn't have to shave, now I look forward to shaving everyday. The pre shave scrub is really good. The razor gives me a really close shave and the after shave moisturiser smells nice. Never has my face felt so soft and smooth. I can't fault any of the products.”

“The 4 blade razor doesn't clear the hair it cuts very well at all, gets clogged up in a few strokes.”

“I've been using the razor for a couple of weeks now. I find the design and shaving experience pretty good. However much like other reviewers, I find it difficult to shave under the nose. The other thing is that I've already gone through half of my stock because the plastic around blade seems to break/come off the part holding it to the handle. I have stopped future orders due to this issue and may choose to use Cornerstone again if they have a better product in the future.”

“Wasn't blown away but I guess we're all different. I found it difficult to get a close shave under the nose, under the chin and around the neck. I also got several cuts from the blade. I find the shape of the plastic that holds the blade prevents it from getting into smaller areas. For £4 the starter deal is worth a try but I doubt I'll be ordering more once my initial lot have run out, I still have patches of stubble on my neck even after about 8 passes with a brand new blade.”

You might be pleased to know that, because of other members' feedback, we're working on a new razor with more flexibility in the head, better blade spacing, and a trimming blade at the back for a smoother, more comfortable, and more convenient shave.

“While I do believe the value of the product is great and I particularly enjoyed the shaving gel, I will be going back to my original razor. The blades provided a good, comfortable and close shave on the flatter/easier areas. But Due to the size and lack of rear blade, I struggle under the nose and corner of the jaw. I see a new razor design is coming out, maybe that will help address these issues.”

“took up the trial offer for the razor and six blades and to be honest I didn't expect much for the price. So I was amazed at what I did get. I hate poor quality goods so I thought it was a little odd that one reviewer said this was a 'cheap razor' because it's anything but. It's made of solid aluminium, not hollow as I expected, but while every product won't suit everybody it's a class above the stuff that Gillette and Wilkinson churn out. They are not expensive anyway. It was a bit silly telling people to ignore 4 and 5 star reviews, we're all entitled to our opinion. Obviously the sensible thing to do is consider a range of reviews. The whole kit arrived impressively packaged with a decent booklet offering shaving advice and another one offering an interesting insight into the business. You also get two credit style type plastic referral cards which means that referring this to your friends will pay for your first couple of months' packs anyway, so the promo deal is a no-brainer. Basically, you have nothing to lose by giving Cornerstone a try. The solid handle feels like the high quality product it is, and is surprisingly grippy to hold. The blades simply clip on and pull off, and have a solid strip at the top with a light, waxy feel. This one won't turn into a slimy mush as soon as it gets wet like some brands I could mention. This helps with razor glide of course. I was very impressed with the feel of the razor. It is a different feel, and feels as if it glides across the skin rather than over it like other brands do. I got a good close shave and significantly I didn't get any razor cuts. It's the first time I can remember using a new blade and not getting a cut or two. That was surprising as I am in my 50's and I have rough, blotchy skin. By tea time I didn't have the usual "5 o'clock shadow" and even the next morning my wife, who didn't know I had a new razor, remarked how smooth my skin was. I didn't actually feel as though I needed a shave on the second day, but I have always shaved daily so I stuck to the routine. A week on and my skin is in better condition than it has been for quite some time, and the blade doesn't feel as if it needs changing yet. These blades do appear to last so if you have opted for the regular deliveries for your blades you can easily amend or halt these, but the company's recommendation of changing the blade every week sounds about right and 6 blades will cost you less than a pack of 4 or 5 from Gillette or Wilkinson, and they're delivered free too. While common sense dictates that they won't suit everybody because we're all different, I think they are superb. I had no hesitancy in recommending these to my friends and family and while it is rare for me to write a review about anything, my personal opinion is that these are so good that you should at least give them a chance. If they suit you, you won't regret it. Like me, you might just find it's the razor you have been looking for.”

“The razor is a cheap rajor - something that you will pay 2-5 GBP for. The blades are not great either. I got some cuts from it as i had to apply lots of pressure to get the shave quality that i get from gillette. Genuinely believe that this is a step down from Gillette Mach 3 and not even comparable to Gillette Fusion. Beware of reviews that are 5* or even 4* - Honestly think that this is not an engineering marvel but simply a repackaging exercise of shaving products that don't sell. People will continue to try it and some people will fail to cancel their trial with 10 GBP off, but achieving the same amount of research and product that Gillette has, is just wishful thinking... Try it as a cheaper alternative to Gillette but be prepared to cancel”

“Wow just wow. Had my first shave tonight with my new razor and it was fantastic. Felt it really cut the hairs perfectly with one stroke. Made even better with the products that came with it. I'll be trying to get others on board. Well worth the money.”

“They cancelled my subscription with politeness and without fuss. Their shaving system (essentially the blade) can't possibly satisfy everyone and, compared with advanced Gillette and Wilkinson blades, I found their blade, even when brand new, caused nicks and some razor burn. It doesn't have the reverse blade featured on the Gillette Mach blades I've been happy with for years. The Cornerstone blade was blunt and unusable after half a dozen shaves whereas Gillette can go on giving a decent shave for several weeks.”

“The razor is a good weight, the handle could do with a polish though doesn't look as attractive as the pictures of it...the blades are good, packaging is great but doesn't have to be soo big when I just ordered the razor and no products. Sadly I cant say im happy with getting this..its fine but its not anything overly special..i need to use another razor to do under the nose and sideburn areas as this razor is too big so its not worth the money..im glad I just paid £4 for it, would have been disappointed for full price! I like what you guys are trying to do but its not quite there yet for me...”

“As in common with quite a few reviews, I moved from the Mach 3 to give this try, everything arrives all looking good and the business. But unfortunately this is where it fails for me at the business end I tried to persevere with it on holiday but since returning have gone back to the Mach 3, the reason the blade is far to big, doesn't do the angles properly and as for the nicks/cuts and razor burn well too much to bear and that's after 2 shaves, so now my plan is on hold. Plus was very disappointed with the shaving gel didn't seem to help the blade over the skin at all so back to the Gillette gel, then finally using the after balm it stung like nobody's business as the razor created so much burn and with those nicks too not a pleasant aftershave experience. So sorry like to support the best of British but needs to up it's game.”

“How does this razor compare to others on the market? It's up there with the big-guns. If the Gilette Fusion is the measuring stick (and it is, in my experience), then the Cornerstone razor surpasses it when it comes to comfort. As for how close a shave it offers, it's not quite in the same league as the Fusion, but it's far better than any of the 'cheaper' razors (Mach 3, Wilkinson Sword). I haven't been using it long enough to comment on how long the blades last, but at £4 for the introductory offer (inc. £10 off) for a handle and 6 blades, it cannot be beaten on value.”

“I have received the razor that I ordered from Cornerstone and have had my first shave with it and I have to congratulate you on the quality of the product. I have had the closest wet shave ever, it even surpasses the shaves I have had with an open razor. Hi I have received the shaving kit I ordered from your company, and my goodness it actually does what you advertise. I have had one of the best shaves I have ever had it even beats an open razor shave I shall certainly be recommending your company to my friends and will be ordering more of your products before I run out of supplies, your products certainly lives up to all of your claims.
