“the blades are much better quality than gilette the scrub gel are quality check them out you get 10 quid off they are good blades quite easy to clean”

“Saw cornerstone on Facebook first....did a bit of googling for reviews etc, and decided to go for it...I was NOT disappointed!! Word of warning, (and they do warn you on their website!) but you don't need to press as hard as you will have done with your previous razor...I did, and promptly cut myself!! Once I'd figured it out, I had the closest shave I've ever had!! So, as a whole I'm very impressed - awesome shave (liked the face scrub and foam too) and at a cheaper price than my Gilette proglide blades etc are... And to cap it off you get your initials engraved on the handle for free...what's not to like!!”

“Had one of the best shaves with the razor that arrived today. Very impressed. I think the razor needs a holder for travelling, I can forsee a problem in that the blade would be exposed or liable to damage in a wash bag.”

“I have always struggled when it comes to shaving, what with rashes, cuts, soreness and uneven cut. I have tried disposable, cheap electric, expensive electric, wet electric, all of the big brand names and most recently the subscription service with king of shaves. All of the above gave varying degrees of unacceptable shaving. I only joined the Cornerstone service as it was flashed up on Twitter and it was cheap, I never thought it would work satisfactorily but gave it a try just on the off chance. On my first try with the Cornerstone razor I ended up having a shave without any preparation due to time restrictions. I was very surprised, no soreness, very close shave and no rash or redness this morning. Thank you so much. Long may this easy pain free shaving continue.”

“I would rate the razor and shave gel as good , shaver could be improved by having a single trimmer blade. However low overall score let down by packaging not fitting through a standard letter box which means that I will not use again.”

Hi Tony, Thanks so much for your review Tony! I'm so glad you liked the razor and gel - we're working on a new razor with single trimmer blade too! I'm sorry your box didn't fit through your letter box - they fit through the majority of post boxes, or some members get the boxes sent to their work. We're working on reducing the size of the box too, so perhaps we can lure you back in the future ;-)

“Used razor for first time today. id put it on a par with other premium brand razors. However, cornerstones beats the others on cost hands down. That coupled with the convenience of having the blades delivered makes it a must for me. Good to know that my cash is going to a 'local' company who will take pride in their work and not a multi national monster!”

“Top quality range of products. The face scrub is amazing. I was a bit sceptical about the flexible razor but it's been nothing short of fantastic. The balm is great also. It's the customer service that has bowled me over, my first order never reached me here in Ireland and a replacement was sent immediately. Excellent”

“Love the razor I don't get any burn after using it. I tend to use the face scrub when I'm in the shower ( less mess). The post shave balm is really nice, finishes off the shave perfectly. The only thing missing is a sideburn trimmer on the razor ,I have to get my old Gillette out. Put one of those baby's on and my life is complete”

“I have sensitive skin and when I used the cornerstone razor for the first time I glowed red but good after shave balm works well and I don't get razor burn but I admit I do shave at night where I don't need to shave every day but in a weird way I don't get the burn just the red face for a little while not sure how long coz I sleep it off”

“I was really excited about getting better shaving results with the Cornerstone set. It arrived nicely packed about 5 days after delivery, with the weekend in between, which is fine. The package is nice and the handle with the engraving is definetelly a nice touch. Unfortunatelly that's where the pluses end for me. 1. The face scrub. First of all, i dont think you should exfoliate your face too often, especially if you have sensitive skin (like in my case). Secondly the scrub is really messy to use and the consistency of it is quite rough, dry and not soapy at all. Perhaps it's a matter of getting used to but i tried my wife's exfoliator and it was still effective but not so messy and mush more pleasant experience. This way or the other, didn't work for me at all and also, in my case IT DOESN"T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE in terms of shaving. 2. Shaving gel - was alright but nothing extraordinary. Works like any other shaving thing, i use just any hair conditioner that i have at hand (sic!) and get the same if not better results. 3. The shaver and blades - here comes my biggest disappointment. Firstly i was thinking that perhaps my skin and hand just need to get used to that. So i used it for around 6-8 shavings and i have to admit that my old shaving tool (i will skip the brand intentionally here) was smoothier, faster, gentlier for my skin and especially more accurate. Forconfirmation i even shaved half of my face with the Cornerstone gel and blade and the other with the hair conditioner and my previous shaver. I got better results with the old one and not it was more sensitive as well. 4. The aftershave - i think the best product from all the stuff included. Absorbs quickly, not a lot of chemicals, smells alright but not too strong and leaves face hydrated. So overall, i expected much MUCH more, sorry to say - nice try but definetelly overhyped product in terms of the results you're going to get. Maciej”

We're actually already working on a new, thicker formula for the face scrub, that you might prefer. Many of our members prefer the feel of a Cornerstone shave, but ultimately it does come down to personal preference, and I'm sorry it hasn't been the right product for you. “Clicked an ad on Twitter by mistake (shameful) but thought I'd give it a go for a mere £4 for just the razor/blades. Am mostly impressed. 4 days growth and the razor did seem to drag the hairs a bit (am using Nivea shave gel). Plus def don't like the lack of an angle on the head compared to what I'm used to. BUT it did shave me very closely and my neck doesn't seem irritated like it sometimes can be. Will persevere & see. The design and packaging are excellent though. Even if it didn't fit through my normal letter box”

It can take a little bit of time to get used to the feel and angle of a new razor, so I'm glad you've decided to persevere.
