I found my van insurance with confused.com and accepted the quote from Admiral. I had to phone them to complete the payment, that was the only problem.

saw a quote I liked so went to the company site and paid for it. I then got a message that I must speak to someone at another broker, who then asked me all the questions again, at least 3 more times. Finally she said that they would not quote and the only company to quote wanted 5 times what I had already paid. VERY PERPLEXING.

They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for others with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently.
