Purchased the insurance no problem, but they said you get to choose a reward , I chose Halfords £20 reward , and never heard a thing since , so I think that is a bit of a scam by confused .com 🤬

Could not get an accurate quote for my property as I host air b n b guests, the website doesn’t ask the right questions so I thought I’d got a good quote thrn when I phoned to check the insurer wouldn’t take air b n b host

The price quoted on the Confused.com web site was less than that shown in the detail when I transferred to Tesco Bank plus some of the T & C's had changed. I emailed this query to Confused.com 17/01/23 but have not received a reply yet 24/01/23.

Disappointed I did not receive a policy number from Privilege home insurance after making payment through Confused.com . After waiting 2days for an email or text, I phoned Privilege to confirm payment and dates of insurance. Then had to phone again the day after that because they still had not sent my policy details via email.

As with other comparison sites the quotes you receive from insurance companies rarely give the cover as requested when filling out the initial form. I've just purchased insurance from Thamesbank. When it asked me to enter my credit card details the total was for £186.60. I've just downloaded my documents to find that the actual cost was £208.99 as they have added insurance premium tax to the total. The total on the website should have made this clear. The cover hasn't started yet & already I feel cheated.

Just before final payment on my new business quote I called the insurer Ageas to ask why the question on claims didn’t allow for a joint buildings and contents claim to the selected, it’s one or the other. They checked and came back to say that my quote was now void. I don’t really understand why when the quantum was still entered in full. Really disappointed that this nullified the two cheapest options. If I had gone ahead without checking I wonder if this would have affected any future claims. Maybe this relates to just a systems issue but whatever the case it seems petty.
