“Asked questions that i could not answer”

“The site is very easy to read, well laid out, the reminders and prompts are clear. However, and worst of all, the headline figures given as, in my case, the cheapest possible home insurance, bear no relation whatever to the price that is then quoted by the company's concerned. The headline price for me was 257 pounds and the cheapest available was 365 pounds. I looked into the details, the subheadings, the further down information and nothing would suggest the variation. It made me think twice about whether I would ever use it again.”

“We have a lodger, I included this information when searching but the lowest quotes stated you have to confirm no paying lodgers live with you which is very annoying to go through all the steps when you already put in the information and it isn't actually taken into account!”

“I just brought this house and trying to buy a home insurance. I supposed to get a gift coupon after competing the home insurance. However, due to the address has previously registered for a gift by the previous owner and I would not be able to get the gift myself.”

“The questions ask were ridicules....I live in a flat on the 3rd floor but I was not asked about the main door of the block or which floor I lived on and yet in the answers I could not change it from 1st floor to 3rd. Do not think I will be going to this site again.”

“I just cannot understand how your company can claim that no Insurance they recommend does not cover flooding, most companies away from your web site have a 10 year policy and will insure you. I have been with Age UK for a few years now who aperate this policy and previously I was with Swinton who had the same policy with all the Insurance companies they work with. Its a rediculous rule and you must be losing many customers who would come into this catagory, me for one.”

“I used Confused.com along with other comparison sites when renewing home insurance. They did find the cheapest deal, but this was not as cheap as the deal which my existing company had offered me to renew.”

“My Overall experience at confused.com is OK. Comparing the insurance prices was easy. However I faced issues while entering my first name- which has two parts. Confused.com does not accept spaces between first names. So I had to compare and buy an insurance using my first name without a space and then contact the insurance provider to update my name. So it was not a fantastic experience.”
