Front end advertised price for car insurance is a "come on". When the customer goes to the website of the insurer and answers a few more questions, as if by magic, the price changes significantly upwards. Confused.com is nothing more than a stooge in this process with no value added.

I bought a home insurance policy from intelligent insurance that had the facts sheet said was a completely different business activity than I have. The company blamed confused.com and then changed me £50 to cancel the policy.

We got the quotes within minutes but all links to sites we non existant so could not persue any of the quotes and when we went direct to the site of choice the quote was twice as much, not a great experience

Very annoyed. Assumed the entire point of using your service would be get the best deal. I got the quotes, found the best value and proceeded to pay for it. Only then I remembered I’d have to make sure my current deal wouldn’t auto renew, so went to that provider to cancel auto renewal and saw it was significantly cheaper than what I’d just paid. I found that provider through you last year too, so they should be on your system. I’d genuinely have been better off doing nothing and allowing the renewal with my existing provider.

Prices are misleading and of baiting nature. Tends to be lower than the reality.

Thought I had renewed home cover over phone on 3rd September at around noon (after initially deciding not to accept new renewal price). The call was a nightmare - poor line, very long and silent delays while customer service agent was 'checking' things. After a very long time I was told that my insurance cover had been renewed. However, on 9th, I realised that I hadn't had a confirmation email and called again only to be told told that I was not insured, couldn't renew over phone and to go to website and start again from scratch. Website not available so had to go elsewhere. Not amused and won't be using SW again.

My buildings cover was £147 last year. During the year I had a plumbing emergency and rang the number given....after waiting for 25 minutes to talk to someone I rang off and phoned a local plumber. The renewal came through recently at way over £300. It was an increase of around 135%....I checked around and found numerous companies offering the same level of cover for around £160, which I thought reasonable. I cancelled the renewal, during the course of which I was offered a new quote of £258....which was still an increase of 75% over last year and £100 more than other companies. I will certainly not recommend you to my friends and family. Expensive and poor service.

Not very impressed with this service at all, - I will not be using it again. I spent an entire morning pressing buttons, talking to a dumb machine which ultimately offered up just 3 Insurance Companies, all of which were far more expensive than the quote from my existing insurer. Your website is far too complex, and difficult to use when it comes to saving / re-accessing quotes, due to the laborious process of security passwords. A complete waste of my time !!

Home insurance part was Ok but then I was invited to claim a reward which I did (£20 Halfords voucher) and have received nothing. Not good.

I’ve chosen my policy holder on several occasions over several days and it keeps crashing out with no insurance purchased. Tried contacting Admiral to no avail either!
