“On the quote form I answered yes to smokers, but when the policy documents arrived they had us as non smokeing. I have now corrected this with Admiral.”

“For some peculiar reason ageas didn’t know the bungalow is detached despite the confused . Com questions answered honestly and correctly. They added more money to the policy. I asked them to cancel it they wanted to deduct £20 set up fee from the total. I told them it can’t be set up as it doesn’t start until 30/04. I told them I’m contacting financial ombudsman. 6 hours later I bott chatted them again…FULL REFUND ISSUED… Have still not got insurance. !!!!”

“One of the questions 'Is your house near water?' but then no way to explain, Yes I live near water, a canal is at the bottom of the garden but it is 20ft below my house and if it was to flood then the whole of Cheshire and beyond would need to be at least 100ft under water, so this makes the question irrelevant but if I don't answer yes then my insurance.”

“I used confused.com for my home insurance and completed the necessary fields including valuable items I want insured away from home. It came back with some great quotes but the quote with Hastings Direct didn't include those individual items and when I added them in on the insurers website it increased the quote by approximately £30. I found this extremely frustrating, as the whole point of using these search engines is that insurers should pick up these details. For the car insurance it only gives you a list of modifications and doesn't allow you to add other. For example, I have had electronic folding wing mirrors since my car was made, therefore I do not get a quote to include this. Also I had a no fault accident last year and there is no where on the website to state this to insurance companies. I have been advised if it's a no fault accident my insurance should not increase because of this.”

“slightly annoyed the top item was a "sponsored" one which made the results harder to read. Happy that the amount they said sky was going to be actually was when i got to sky. Could be easier to amend quote to get different options so took longer than some others. Ultimately i chose confused because of the rewards - others had the same price but didn't like their "rewards" I can't say much about sky protect as i only just brought it. Until there is a need to claim it is impossible to tell how good a company is :-(”
