As insurance relies on answering many questions accurately, the concern that c.com simply ignores some answers when producing quotes is very scary. Additionally when selecting the quote, ref quote number the LH side of the screen states Legal cover included whilst the RH side states additional fee. I guess that's why the website is aptly called confused.com. Furthermore, on contacting the insurer, (who I already had the expiring policy with), they tell me that C.C's quote for their company already includes my multi policy discount, which if true, means I can't tell which of C.Com's quotes are best value. Very risky, and very confusing. Not impressed!

The service is great, but when you go to the lowest price provider and they then when you try to take out the policy (without making any changes at all) add on an extra £30 it feels like a scam on their part.

My experience with Confused.com was completely satisfactory. I am not likely to recommend it, because I never make recommendations.

the one offered not the cheapest was a n agent not a Company and it was 3 companies down before the named one came up

They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for other drivers with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. The 'Confused' personal details page does not allow me to change my marital status from 'married' to 'widowed' As a recently bereaved man I find this insensitive.

Trying to get home insurance for a house which has once been flooded. We need to be sure that flooding s covered. The no 1 best deal when I contacted them said they did not cover flooding. So without checkin gindividaully, confused's best atches, how d I knw what is covered. it is time consuming. NOt good

The quote that was returned required a series of other questions which totally invalidated the price quoted. Not only that, but I was taken to a dead-end and told to call Admiral with no quote reference being provided which meant I had to re-run through all of the information again.

My son in law arranged my new insurance I am happy with the new policy but would not ever talk to friends and family about this type of thing

Very disappointed with your partners, spent time on your comparison site, looked up which one was suitable for me, needed some extra information before I committed, called Esure and they informed me that because I have a reference No. from a comparison site an automatic charge of over 11% would be added just for them to access the account.

Your section regarding previous flooding require work. Although I said no flooding in the last 10 years your cheapest quotes from the post office were not valid as any flooding from property being built is the requirement. Price went to double that quoted.

Total joke the offers sent are no resemblance of the figures quoted eg £252 became £1360 and this wasnt a one off no details changed on my requirements. The site need to improve the monitoring of agencies using the site and not allow it for the commission.
