About Chococo:

We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.
We believe truly fresh chocolates taste better & our customers & food experts agree, as we have won over 70 fine food awards over the years for our creations including most recently, 3 World medals at the International Chocolate Awards...enjoy!

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re really sorry to hear your egg arrived misshapen but we're glad the chocolate was still very much enjoyed. From your description, it sounds like it may have been affected by some direct heat during transit, causing it to melt. Obviously this isn't how we want our beautiful chocolate creations to arrive! If you’d reached out to our friendly customer care team with some photos, we’d have been happy to make it right for you.

“The chocolate is fab, British and creatively developed and packaged. One down side. Please stop using polystyrene crush stones in you packaging. I work in recycling and energy sustainability and these types of packaging are not recyclable. I suggest you invest in a simple card shredding machine to cushion your products card is sustainable, recyclable and would reduce Chooco CO2e footprint by an impressive amount. Love your products they're great!!”

Thanks so much for your lovely feedback, we're delighted you love our chocolate and creative packaging! We just wanted to gently say… you're mistaken about the packing material 😉 The ‘crush stones’ you mentioned aren’t polystyrene at all. We use Eco Flo protective chips, which are 100% biodegradable, 100% compostable, and dissolve completely in water. They're made from starch and can be disposed of sustainably - on your compost heap, in your food waste bin, or even used to water your plants once dissolved! Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, so as always, all of our packaging is plastic-free and recyclable. But we really do appreciate your passion for the planet, and your kind words about our products!

“Placed my order, to be delivered before Easter. No communication or updates until a week after Easter. Turns out my order had been 'missed' completely and wasn't coming at all. Order was cancelled and refunded (despite still being wanted) and when I was told to reraise my order, the items we had originally ordered were sold out and wouldn't be possible to order. Disappointing.”

We're so sorry for the experience you had with your Easter order. Unfortunately, your order was missed. An error on our part, for which we hold our hands up and take full responsibility for. As you got in touch over the Easter weekend while we were closed, unfortunately by the time we saw your message and realised what had happened, we’d already missed the Easter delivery window. To make matters worse, the item you'd ordered was then out of stock, so although you let us know you still wanted it, we advised that we simply couldn’t fulfil the order. We completely understand how frustrating and disappointing that must have been, and although we processed a full refund, we understand that we let you down. We’re genuinely sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment.

“I found the dino egg a few years ago for my Grandson and have bought for Easter ever since. Visually stunning and it apparantly tastes great. Always arrived quickly and packed very well. Very highly recommended.”

We totally get that taste is personal, but we promise there’s nothing cheap about our chocolate. Our dinosaur Easter egg is made with our signature 47% Colombia origin milk chocolate - a Gold Great Taste Award winner, no less - which is sustainably sourced, ethical and slave-free! So while we’re thrilled you loved the dino design, we’re gutted the chocolate didn’t hit the spot for you. Thanks for giving it a try and for taking the time to share your thoughts. “For the price I would expect the Easter eggs to be packaged better. There was no packing in there to protect them, just the eggs in a box, which obviously doesn't protect them. Resulting in 1 being smashed to pieces, so I couldn't give it as a gift in that state. I won't be purchasing from this company again, as I don't want to spend over £50 to have smashed items.”

Thank you for your feedback, and we're really sorry to hear that one of your Easter eggs arrived damaged. We take great care when packing our eggs and send out thousands each Easter with only a very small number arriving damaged which are more to do with how parcels are handled during transit rather than the packaging itself. Had you reached out to our customer care team at the time, we would have been more than happy to arrange a replacement or a refund for you. We always want to make things right when something goes wrong. We’re genuinely sorry this was your experience and appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
