We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“I love Chococo's products. However, I ordered a box with the Summer discount but this could not be delivered by post due to the heatwave so was cancelled. I know the weather isn't Chococo's fault, but do think it would have been nice if the discount could have been extended until the weather cooled down as a gesture of goodwill.”

Thank you for your review. We understand this was disappointing. Due to the heatwave, we paused dispatch for the safety of the orders. I understand the wish to cancel your order, but had you kept your order on hold we would've dispatched your order when possible, and the discount would have stood.

“For a product that is truly delightful, it is utterly pulled down by their customer service agents and lack of website updates to reflect current situations within Chococo's deliveries. Not providing information to customers prior to purchases, does not support customers to make informed decisions and is an unethical way to conduct business. Higher standards are needed for the price level. Customers should also not receive passive aggressive emails from the customer service individuals. My experience was so appalling that not only will I not do business with this company but will also actively provide my experience to others to help them make an informed decision if this is a company they feel they can support. I do hope things change, for the benefit of those who are in the process element of this business.”

Thank you for your review. The reason behind removing standard delivery from the choice of options is to reduce the risk of orders arriving melted, due to the time spent in transit being shorter. We feel that this is our choice to make, as we don't want our chocolate arriving melted to customers, nor do they I'm sure! I'm sorry if you felt our explanation over email came across as passive aggressive, we would never want any of our customers to feel like we purposefully communicate in this way. We really appreciate your comments regarding the product itself, thank you.

“I recently ordered a birthday delivery for a friend from Chococo during that brutal heatwave. Before dispatching, they got in touch to suggest postponing a few days to avoid any risk of the chocolates melting in transit. It would have been easier for them to just send it out and hope for the best, but that extra care and honesty meant a lot. The chocolates arrived perfectly - no bloom, no soft centres, just flawless. My friend was delighted, and I was impressed by a company that clearly prioritises the quality of what lands on the doorstep over simply ticking off an order. Proper service from people who actually care about their craft.”

Thank you for your review. Our orders have been put on hold for dispatch due to the current heatwave, as we don't feel comfortable sending out orders in this weather! We did put a warning on the homepage of our website about this, and personally sent you an email letting you know about this delay, shortly after you placed this order. You should receive your order today! We hope you do enjoy the chocolates when they have been received.

“I really love this company and their chocolate. The chocolate is delicious and ethical and it's good to help a small company. My daughter gave us some as a gift and I am addicted. I think chocolate should be a treat ( it always used to be) and therefore paying a bit more for it makes it a treat.”

Our feedback forms are sent automatically and so sometimes they are sent before delivery, especially when delivery is delayed due to the recent hot weather.
