Thank you for your review, though we were surprised to read it, given your most recent kind email in response to what occurred. As acknowledged in our emails, we’re truly sorry your experience fell short this time. We missed two eggs in packing, one arrived damaged, and your first email unfortunately didn't reach us - a perfect storm of errors, and absolutely not the service we aim to provide, and we were glad we were able to refund you in full once the issue was identified. We really appreciated your gracious response in our email exchange, particularly your suggestion to support our growers instead of accepting a refund - that meant a lot. While your review paints a much starker picture, please know we took your concerns seriously and did all we could to make things right. Thank you again for your past support and we hope we can restore your confidence in us in future.

Egg arrived on time and tasted great but on opening on Easter Sunday the egg was badly misshapen and looked awful.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re really sorry to hear your egg arrived misshapen but we're glad the chocolate was still very much enjoyed. From your description, it sounds like it may have been affected by some direct heat during transit, causing it to melt. Obviously this isn't how we want our beautiful chocolate creations to arrive! If you’d reached out to our friendly customer care team with some photos, we’d have been happy to make it right for you.

We’re sorry to hear you felt the items were smaller than expected. We do clearly list the weights and dimensions of all our Easter eggs on our website so customers can make an informed decision before purchasing, but we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

We had bought these chocolates in previous years. They have reduced in size dramatically so we have turned them into table decorations thos year and will not buy them again

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, both our standard 175g eggs and our giant 400g eggs have been the same size and weight for years. It seems there may have been a mix-up, but we can assure you that the eggs you purchased this year are the same as in 2022. That said, we’re genuinely impressed by your creativity in turning 12 chocolate eggs into table decorations – that’s nearly 2.5kg of chocolate! We’re sure your diners had a Chococo feast, even if they didn’t have room for much more afterwards!

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re really sorry to hear that your gift reached the recipient later than expected. We’ve checked the tracking information and can confirm that the parcel was delivered by Royal Mail on the estimated delivery date provided at checkout. It seems the delay may have occurred within the hospital itself, and we're truly sorry it took longer to reach the recipient. Given the circumstances, we hope you understand that hospitals likely prioritize other matters and it is not a reflection on our delivery service.

I’ve ordered from chococo multiple times before, as always the product was great. However, customer service was poor. It’s also worth being aware that should you need to return your purchase this will have to be at your own expense. Not the service you’d expect from a premium brand.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you’ve enjoyed our products before. We apologise for the inconvenience regarding your recent order. As advised at the time, we were unable to locate your parcel at the time because it had already been packed and labelled, and was due to be despatched imminently. Unfortunately, as noted in our Order Confirmation, we’re unable to make changes to orders once they’ve been processed, which is why changing the delivery address two days later was not possible. Regarding returns, it’s not uncommon for customers to cover return shipping costs, and we always aim to make the process as smooth as possible. We appreciate your understanding and hope to provide a better experience in the future.

purchased an Ocean egg for my wife ( she opened it early) choclate was nice, but the egg was super thin and a bit dissapointing.

Flavour is weak compared to competitors (Knoops, Carvetii, Harth). 47% blend in particular does not taste of anything

No blends here! Our 47% Colombia origin milk chocolate flakes are high in cocoa content for a milk chocolate, and made without any added sugar, flavourings, or powders – it's just pure, single-origin chocolate. That means the flavour profile is more delicate and subtle, especially when melted into milk, which naturally dilutes the cocoa intensity. We recommend experimenting a little with the chocolate-to-milk ratio to find the strength that best suits your taste. We're proud to say that our 47% Colombia milk chocolate won a Great Taste Gold Award in 2023, which recognises its quality and balance. That said, taste is subjective, and we understand that preferences can vary, especially compared to brands that may use different flavouring approaches. Ordered chocolates for wife for Valentines. Balsamic flavour did not go down well! Not that impressed with taste or quality especially given high price. Would not buy again.

Nice fillings, poor identification of chocolate types compared to the inserted list of chocolates, someone didn't really take the time to "paint" them properly. The chocolate coating was poor, didn't melt in the mouth, tasted almost plastic

Tried to buy as a gift but system is so confusing, there was no opportunity to add message or wrapping. Only able to send to recipient but you now think I’m the recipient not the customer. Wasn’t entirely sure if it would even get there. I’m not ClareK!

Chocolate excellent, customer care terrible, do not reply or answer phone. Order was delivered late, advent calendar on 6th December!! Order well in advance.

So glad that you love our chocolate but sorry to hear the rest. We don't have any record of you getting in touch via email and as a very small team, there's not always someone available to answer the phone, so we apologise that we didn't get a chance to provide you with any customer care. However, we agree about ordering our Advent Calendars in advance if you can. If you order on 28th November and select our standard 3-5 day delivery service, there's good chance your delivery will not arrive for the start of Advent!

Great looking plant based products on the website. Made an order and it did not arrive. Emailed company and was told order probably dispatched without a courier label. Order was re-sent and arrived at its destination.....maybe they forgot to send the first one? Who knows. However, not a good first impression.

Oh no, we're sorry to hear this. Our fresh selection boxes include seasonal, new and annual favourites encased in both dark & milk Gold Great Taste Award-winning chocolates. We carefully choose our favourite chocolates of the moment for our boxes, all handcrafted fresh here at Chococo in Dorset... and we pull out all the stops to make them look and taste divine! We're so sorry to hear that your egg arrived damaged. This is really sad and clearly disappointing, and certainly not how we want our lovely chocolate to arrive. We would encourage customers to contact us if they notice anything wrong with their order as soon as it's received so that we have a chance to put things right.

Good quality chocolate but unfortunately the flavours were not easily detectable, most chocolates had no flavour at all.

Unfortunately I clicked on chococo when googling vegan chocolate...what I did not realise, and this is mainly my fault, was that the other products on display in the website for not vegan. I ended up buying a non vegan chocolate box for my wife, a total failure.

We're sorry to hear this. We do a lot of chocolates which are vegan friendly - both dark and oat m!lk - as well as milk chocolate, so it's unfortunate that you didn't notice that on our website. Anything marked vf is vegan friendly.

I gave various Chococo chocs to my kid in their stocking. All three of them said it tasted a bit bitter and not great. It may be that they are used to Dairy Milk and just don't like the change. I also tried some and didn't love it.

We're sorry to hear this, and you're probably right. Sadly there are so many nasties in cheap chocolate (sugar, palm oil, emulsifiers, flavourings plus a touch of slavery), but it's definitely the sugar that children tend to be addicted to, so our chocolate will taste different to them. It's the same for adults too, but understanding more about what's in your chocolate and where it comes from can help you make better informed decisions and get used to different tastes.

I bought this to be sent to a friend in a nursing home. It did arrive in time but without the message I asked to go with it, so my friend had no idea I had sent it

Oh no, we're sorry to hear that the box of chocolates you sent arrived without a gift message. We can see from your order that there was no message saved to the order; if there had been, it would have shown on your Order Confirmation. The likely case is that you added the message but did not use the 'Save' button. For any future orders, you just need to click on the Save button once you've composed your message.
