The beak had broken on the penguin although it appeared to be well wrapped and packaged.

Chocolate are delicious but my order wasn't sent out on time and missed the birthday date that they were supposed to arrive for. When I contacted my order was sent out but was quite disappointed given the price that my order was missed until I followed up

At the price point I was expecting better quality of chocolate and fullness of flavour in the fillings. Everything tasted similar. Cute and thoughtful packaging.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you liked the chocolates and that they arrived on time, though we’re sorry the price point didn’t meet your expectations. The cost of cocoa has increased so much the last few years and we don't avoid this by reducing the cocoa content, like others do!

Chocolates themselves were inventive and excellent, but having taken out a 6 months subscription for my wife I was a bit disappointed to find that even before I'd given her the present Chococo were emailing me to tell me how much better value I could have had if I'd just waited until after Christmas for your various sale offers. My choice but if left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, which is not what you want with chocolates.

Delivery was quick and efficient, the website could be improved, the chocolate was not great. Seems the cost is largely covering packaging and marketing. Similar delivery gifting services do it better, like the packaging box also being a card that you can pick the design and add a message too enhancing the provision.

Unfortunately, we didnt get to sample them. I bought them as a gift on 12th December for my parents who were regular Hotel Chocolate customers, until the change in their product ( making it sweet) - by the time they were opened they were past their use by date. Not sure why the date is so brief

The Award Winners Box you purchased is a fresh box - using fresh ingredients -which we try to highlight as much as we can on the website. We even show the date it will need to be eaten by, when you're viewing the product on the website.

Chocolates delicious as always. However do not think the extra expense of the doors on the advent calendar is worth it. As it comes with a menu it’s not like it’s a surprise. Probably won’t purchase again next year at that price point.

quite difficult to work out which chocolates are which from the diagram, the patterns on top of the chocolates are all very similar and the colours don't tend to match the diagram very well.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We can appreciate the similarity of some of the patterns. With our decorators doing all of their decorating by hand, it's difficult for all chocolates to be exactly the same as the diagram.

Oredered the advent calendar. Packaging is lovely and can't deny the beautiful craftmanship. The flavours didn't really come through on the ones we've tried so far (perhaps it's an old batch?) but think the sugar balance is perfect, as in not too sweet.

The fact that my order was for an advent calendar and you ask for feedback about it on 30th November doesn’t convince me that Chococo is particularly aware of their customers nor their products! Alternatively, this is yet another demonstration of poorly considered customer feedback requests! Sure the chocolate will be delicious, stop being so desperate!

Chocolate was mostly good however I was a bit disappointed with the 'gift wrapping' which I paid extra for, it was only a thin bit of tissue paper which you'd kind of expect to be in a parcel anyway..

The “With Love” gift sleeve you selected is a printed cardboard wrap shown on our website, rather than traditional wrapping paper, and the tissue paper is simply part of our standard packing process. If the gift sleeve was missing from your order, our customer care team would have been very happy to put that right, so please do reach out if this was the case. I bought these chocolates as a gift. The pesetation was superb but the pachaing had signs of some wear and tear sustained I suspect in transit which was not ideal. The delivery was prompt hoever.

While I enjoyed most of the flavours in my selection box (port and fig should not be seen together), my biggest criticism is the size of the chocolates - they are tiny. Considering they cost an average of 1.16GBP each (not including delivery) I'm not sure they are good value for money. I'm glad I tried Chococo, bit I don't think I'll be back.

Sorry to hear that you thought our chocolates were small. The moulds we use are standard within the fine chocolate industry. Each chocolate is hand-crafted, hand-decorated, and hand-packed using the finest ethically sourced ingredients, which we believe makes them worth every penny. I do wish the “mixed” boxes contained less dark chocolates. The dark is quite “bitter” and there are combinations that seem to be layers of dark on dark. Maybe that’s an individual, subjective viewpoint on my behalf. And I should stick to the milk selections.

I cannot review your chocolates as they were a birthday present for my daughter-in-law. However I can comment on the ordering and delivery processes. I indicated when ordering that the chocolates were a present. Nowhere was I given the opportunity to write a gift card, so I had to warn my son about their arrival and who they were from. I wanted them delivered on her birthday, which I was told was possible. The date was the 27th September. I was then told they could not be delivered until 30th september. I then received a message stating that they would actually be delivered on 26th, which was not at all what I wanted! Overall, this has been a fairly unsatisfactory and shambollick process.

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry the experience wasn't as smooth as hoped. The option to add a gift message is available at checkout, but it sounds like this may have been missed - we'll review how we can make it clearer. As for the delivery, all our dates are estimated (not guaranteed), and this is shown during checkout, on the order confirmation, and again in the despatch email. Your order was placed close to our daily cut-off and used 1st Class (ships next working day) shipping, but we were able to dispatch the same day, resulting in delivery a day earlier than the birthday rather than 3 days later. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and hope the chocolates were well received.

Box compartments too small to pick up chocolates - had to upend the box to get them out. Chocs didn't match illustrations particularly well so we had to take pot luck with what we picked. Chocolate itself had slightly lard-y texture. Maybe that's what good-qualirty chocs are like but we didn't care for them particularly. On the plus side, the packaging is lovely (apart from sizing & pictures) and they arrived on time. Sorry but we won't be ordering again.

On our enclosed menu card, we do recommend lifting out the grid dividers if you're having difficulty picking up the chocolates; this usually makes access much easier without needing to upend the box. As our chocolates are individually hand-decorated, the illustrations on the menu are intended as a visual guide rather than exact representations. In terms of texture and flavour, all of our filled chocolates are handcrafted using the finest single origin couvertures, including our award-winning 47% Colombia Milk and 72% Ecuador Dark chocolates. We appreciate that taste is subjective and are sorry that this particular style wasn’t to your preference. We're glad to hear you liked the packaging and that your order arrived on time, and we're grateful you gave our chocolates a try.
