Excellent chocolate but the name on the personalised message on the slab was spelt incorrectly, despite being written out correctly on the order.

Oh no, we're really sorry to see this, how embarassing! If you had let us know at the time then we might have been put it right for you. We really hope your Mum still loved the chocolate and knew that you'd sent it with love.

Not much depth to the actual chocolate in this selection. Fat content seems to be what is missing and intensity of flavour. Felt I was eating a low fat or healthy alternative. Variety of filling was interesting but flavours while subtle drowned out a moderately weak chocolate. Wouldn’t buy again I am afraid.

Thanks for your review and sorry our chocolate is not to your taste. We only use chocolate made with natural cocoa butter, not additional vegetable fat and definitely no palm oil. Our chocolate also has a much lower sugar content than most high street big names, which lets the true chocolate flavour through. Thanks for trying Chococo, and sorry that you won't be back.

Undeniably good chocolate but £16 (inc packing) for 200g is ridiculously expensive.

Thank you, we're thrilled that you love our chocolate, but we should clarify that the price you paid included delivery. Your Large Honeycombe Heart in Dark Chocolate was £12.50 and we are sorry you think this was expensive. We disagree, especially when you take into account where our chocolate comes from and what we do with it. We use direct-traded single-origin, Raisetrade chocolate produced in its country of origin (better than Fairtrade), which is fully traceable, trusted, sustainable, ethical and delicious! Oh, and no palm oil. We make the specical version of our honeycombe here at Chococo with agave nectar so it is also vegan-friendly. Once the honeycombe cools, we break it into chunks and mix it into our house 72% Ecuador single origin dark chocolate. If that's not enough, it's hand-wrapped in compostable cornstarch cello and hand-tied with a ribbon, then packed and posted in a fully recyclable box.

Chocolates were well received and delicious. The brownie had too many salt crystals and for the first time ever, my 7 year old didn’t want to try anymore brownie after a few bites!

Thank you, we're really pleased to hear that you loved our chocolates and we do hope that you'll be back for more. It's such a shame that your little one wasn't a fan of the brownies, but maybe they were a little bit too salty and rich for him. Our brownies are very rich and truffle-like - a few bites at a time is just enough for some folk, but others .... welllllll (*hides in the corner with chocolate around their mouths and all over their fingers....)

Thank you, we're so pleased that you love Chococo, but sorry to hear that things went a bit Pete Tong with your delivery. We do rely on Royal Mail for our deliveries and it's very sad when they don't hit the mark, and of course, it reflects on us. We'll always do all that we can to help things along if things do go wrong.

We're really sorry you were disappointed. The packaging used for our slabs is plastic free and recyclable and clearly shown as such on our website photos. We don't think you can bring much lustre to a brown paper bag with a cornstarch window, but we can promise they were all hand-packed. Taste is a different thing entirely although is very subjective, and we do have to say each to their own. But we would also say that people who don't love Chococo chocolate are usually fans of cheap, mass-produced, low cocoa & high sugar chocolate. Sometimes, things just take a little getting used to.

We don't think that you can consider our chocolate overpriced when you take into account where our chocolate comes from, what we do with it, and how we get it to you. We use single-origin, Cocoa Horizons verified, 100% sustainable cocoa beans from Venezuela, made into chocolate for us to our own recipe, with very high cocoa solids at 45%. Oh, and no palm oil. Each Easter egg is made entirely by hand. We start by building up layers of milk chocolate in the mould, letting each layer set before adding the next and then we stud the inside of each half with big chunks of crunchy, sweet honeycombe, which we also make by hand with local honey. The two halves are carefully hand-sealed, then each egg is individually hand-decorated. No egg-making machines here at Chococo! If that's not enough love given to your egg, it's hand-wrapped in recyclable food-safe tissue inside its NEW 100% plastic-free recyclable kraft box. Of course, if you'd rather have cheap chocolate that exploits local workforces and ruins rainforests, padded out with sugar and added fats, made by machines and packed into plastic by robots, who are we to comment?

The chocolate ginger box was this time disappointing and I really sadly couldn’t have told you that there was any element of ginger in them at all if I had to do a blind testing , this was particularly sad for me as I do adore dark chocolate with ginger

Thank you for taking the time to send your review, and we're sorry to hear that you didn't find the ginger coming through very strongly in this box. We put big chunks of pure crystallised ginger into our delicate chocolate domes to make our Glorious Ginger chocolates to ensure the perfect ginger:chocolate ratio, so it's unusual for the warmth of the ginger not to be prominent.

Oh no, we're really sorry that your heart arrived broken - nobody wants a broken heart, especially for Valentine's Day. Whilst we take every care to pack everything so it does not damage in transit, sometimes we can't help how it is transported with Royal Mail. We care passionately about chocolate, our customers and the planet so feedback is always welcome

My order was scheduled for delivery on Dec.20th,when it had not appeared on Dec.22nd I phoned the company,who eventually informed me that the parcel was probably held up in a Royal Mail sorting office,and as I would not now receive my order before Xmas(It was a gift!) they would replace my order with another and send it by Royal Mail 24 hr.Tracking system. The new order arrived on Dec.24th in time for Xmas for which I was very grateful. On Dec.29th I received a card from Royal Mail informing me that they have a parcel for me which cannot be delivered because the sender has not paid the postage. I assumed it was the missing Chococo order and paid £3.50 to have it delivered,which has happened today Jan.5th. However,there was only 1 box(I had ordered 2 originally!),so I am now confused as to whether the order was not carried out as I assumed it would be,or someone at the Royal Mail sorting office has decided that they fancied 1 of the boxes for themself! Either way,the experience has left me wondering about whether I would use this company again. A bit disillusioned!!

Oh no, what a shame, we are sorry you feel like this. Sadly, very occasionally, once one thing goes wrong, everything seems to go wrong (perhaps especially in the last posting days before Christmas)! If you'd contacted our Customer Care team to let us know about the missing postage, we would have had the chance to reimburse you and say sorry properly.

Whilst I very much enjoy Chococo chocolate, I was disappointed that you seem to have discontinued the large dark selection. In the absence of this, I bought the vegan dark selection and it was really not up to the standard I would have expected. Overly sweet and just didn't feel special. Would I order again? Hmm, mot sure.

Thank you for your feedback on our vegan festive selection, and sorry to hear that it wasn't to your taste. We worked hard to develop an exciting and unusual vegan festive selection of 25 different Christmassy flavours that was enjoyed by vegans & non-vegans alike. We discontinued our large dark fresh selection boxes simply to ensure that our boxes always contained a good selection of ever-changing flavours and to avoid duplications, but as we increase our plant-based range, we may be able to bring it back.

Flavours bit hit and miss for my partner and the lack of any info on what's in the box is pretty annoying. Hasn't really been the treat it was meant to be.

Oh no, sorry they weren't to your partner's taste. You should have let us know the menu was missing from the box so we could send you one by email - you may have enjoyed them a bit more if you'd known what they were.

Chocolate robots looked really awesome and packaged well. Overall a well received and unique gift. Not the tastiest chocolate though unfortunately

The deliverer wouldn't leave it as I was out. This entailed a time-consuming trip to the post office. The delivery charge was over a third of the cost of the chocolate penguin which, I'm sure, will be lovely. However as to whether I'll order online again? Thanks but No Thanks!

Oh, a bauble with a short date on it.... this should not be the case. All baubles should have had the date of Sept/22. This must be a best before date stuck on in error. The chocolate will be absolutely fine to eat.

Asked for a review. I have no reason to suppose that the chocolates were anything short of lovely, but the ordering process was confusing and the request for feedback came to my daughter's name at my email address, as did all the notifications from Chococo about dispatch and the post office about delivery! Obviously I ordered them for her birthday at her location and so these were slightly useless! It warned her at one point that she might like to intercept the post so as not to spoil her surprise!

The chocolates are lovely. however, I paid extra for delivery within two days and the chocolates arrived over a week later with no acknowledgement that this would happen. My friend waited patiently for her gift, but I was embarrassed and won't be buying again.
