We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“Very unusual flavour combinations! The leaflet really should give you what’s in the box, not every chocolate made. We had the biggest box, which really should have had one of everything!”

Thank you for your feedback. We do like to keep our flavours interesting! We will pass on your comments about the menu to our innovation team. As we are working with seasonal, local ingredients and handcrafting our chocolates, it's not always possible to include one of everything, but we do keep the selection as varied as possible.

“I bought several boxes of chocolates in the past and loved them (the best I have tried in the UK!), so I was curious about the new brownies... I ordered the salted caramel one, and unfortunately, it wasn't anything special. I couldn't really taste the salted caramel and it didn't have a strong chocolate flavour. My partner and my son liked it, but for me it was a disappointment.”

“Your new 100% dark chocolate flakes from Ecuador are Ok but a drinking chocolate made from these is nowhere near as intense as the old 100% Colombian sugar free Hot Chocolate drops, which were really something, Sadly they no longer seem to be available. Please let me know if you stock them again.”

Dear Christopher, Many thanks for taking the time to send us your review about the new 100% Ecuador hot chocolate flakes. We are sorry to hear that you are not enjoying them as much as the Colombian drops. The new 100% flakes are exactly the same in being sugar-free, but are made from arriba cocoa beans unique to the region in Ecuador where they are grown, so have a slightly different flavour. If you want to make your drink more intense, you can always add more flakes each time. We are not currently planning to stock the Colombian drops again as 100% is such a niche variant, but never say never! Best regards, Claire Burnet co-founder

Dear Chelcie, Many thanks for sending us your review - we are delighted to her that you enjoyed the flavour of your brownie. Yes they are thinner than our cafe ones as they need to fit inside the box to go in the post and I hope that the various photos on our website were clear in showing their size. Our cafe ones are very chunky vs most normal brownies! The brownies by post are made to the same recipe though, so the taste should be familiar. “I bought these for a present, for my sister.I actually gave them to her on 30th March when we were allowed to meet up.She opened them the next day to discover they had to be eaten by 28th. !”

“A bit disappointed as I bought the dinosaur egg for my nephew. The description sounded fun but in essence it was very small once out of the box. Tasted nice but wouldn’t buy again. Not with the money. The chocolate bunnies and honeycomb chocolate was good and got good feedback from the kids I gifted them too. Saying that delivery was great and packaged well.”

“Efficient in getting the order processed with regular updates on shipping etc. However, didn’t really enjoy the texture of the salted caramel gems, they were a bit powdery. Not worth the expensive price tag I’m afraid.”

“The chocolate is lovely but the online ordering system could be better. The issue seems to be where the shipping address is different to the billing address. The system mashes up the first part of the delivery address with the latter part of the billing address, causing issues and delays on the chocolate arriving at the correct address. The staff I dealt with were very helpful but I had to email once then ring 3 times more as I wasn't kept informed exactly where my order was, or when it was redispatched or when it would arrive at the correct destination.”

“Disappointed with the design and appearance of the box - not striking enough relevant to the price of the contents. As this was an Easter Egg, and as a present, I was unable to check if the contents were/are intact! Obviously I cannot comment on the contents or the actrual chocolate - I just hope they are not a disappointing as the presentation box and the poor packing that it got delivered in.”

“Dear Chococo, In December I purchased chocolates for a friend. They were delivered on time and were very favourably commented upon. However, my experience recently was not so positive. I initially made a mistake, sending chocolates to myself instead of to whom I had intended. I was attempting to get them delivered on a specific date and in the process lost the plot with the website and omitted to check the delivery address (my mistake). Having made that error I was very careful when sending chocolates to the correct address and was therefore horrified when on receiving confirmation of my order, the website showed that both the sender and the receiver identified with the receiver's details. Fortunately it was during the week and within the working day-time so I telephoned. I was told that there were technical issues, it was clear that I was not the only one who experienced this problem, but although I was assured that no prices would go with the delivery I felt that my concern was not taken seriously. The reason for my call to Chococo was that the last thing I wanted (which I felt was a legitimate concern) was for the receiver to receive a delivery note with quoted prices on their 80th birthday! If I had completed a review on the Christmas delivery it would have been a much higher star rating.”
