The chocolates were purchased as gifts so I am unable to rate as per quality of the chocolates, but I expected both the chocolates and the boxes to be larger than those which arrived and in this to impress those who would receive the gifts. The photographs of the chocolates are very misleading where size is concerned. I did look at the chocolates and they were smaller than average chocolates. In this they are rather expensive for content and presentation, and I doubt that my relatives will appreciate the gesture or realise the hand made exclusiveness of them.

Thank you for gifting Chococo, but we are sorry to read your comments. The images on our website are true photographic images of actual boxes and actual chocolates, and are in no way misleading in terms of size. There are even videos! The chocolates are made in the same sized moulds used by many other hand-crafted chocolate makers. When you say 'average chocolates', we have to presume that you are referring to mass produced, cheap chocolates made with sugar and palm-oil loaded chocolate and synthetic ingredients in plastic boxes. Your relatives should realise the hand-crafted exclusiveness of our chocolates as our boxes, menu and inserts shout about it ... we're proud of it! They'll certainly know when they try them.

We're sorry to read this. The Hazelnut Gems have a roasted hazelnut encased in our 2 Star Gold Great Taste Award-winning 65% Mega Milk Chocolate, so by their very nature, might be considered relatively solid to bite into. Our our 'dark milk' Mega Milk chocolate is handmade of single origin chocolate made by our raise trade partners Chocolaterie Robert in Madagascar, from Grand Cru de Sambirano cocoa beans and it contains 65% cocoa (which is more than even many dark chocolates out there), 27% milk and just 8% added sugar.

Sorry to hear this, but we hope you're not trying to eat them straight from the fridge. This will make some of the more solid chocolates harder to eat. The shells and bases of our chocolates should be quite thin, so sorry if some were thicker than you were expecting.

For the second time , I have not recieved the promised discount voucher code for future purchases . I have bought chocolate gifts since my last order but went elsewhere due to disappointment in being let down . Last time I enquired in store about retrieving the discount code but they were unable to help . Your chocolate is fantastic but I think the IT needs tightening up to avoid disappointment and losing trade .

We don't promise discount codes for future purchases so we're not sure what this is about. We have already confirmed by email that you cannot get your Chococo Chocolate House loyalty card stamped instore for purchases made online, but again, if you need any clarification, please do get in touch with our customer care team.

After receiving a gift from a family member and the chocolate being absolutely delicious, I thought I would order some myself as gifts for Christmas. The only disappointment is that I ordered 4 x letterbox gift boxes and the boxes didn't come labelled , So I had no idea what was in which box and in trying to open them the boxes became damaged and for the ones I did manage to open, once you got the chocolate out to see what range was in the gift box you couldnt not get them back in properly.

Thank you, we're thrilled to hear that you love our chocolate. Our letterbox gifts of three or six bars of chocolate are actually designed to be sent directly to the gift recipients - hence letterbox gifts! The box is a brown outer cardboard box and not a gift box so we weren't expecting these to be ordered for personal onward gifting. Our team are looking into how we could do this, but with 18 different bars the number of combinations are huuuuuuge! Thanks for alerting us to this and we'll put our thinking caps on!

I ordered 4 “Wise Owls” through the mail. 2 I redirected to a friend (whose pet name for me is Wise Owl). On opening my 2 (and even though the packaging seemed appropriate) I discovered that both were smashed in transit. The chocolate is still delicious (and I don’t particularly mind about my broken pair because I would have broken them myself very quickly) but the likely loss of the other two will diminish the impact of the intended “in joke” between us

Thank you, we're so pleased that you loved the chocolate and for your pragmatism about your two broken owls. However, this is disappointing and certainly not how we want our lovely chocolate to arrive. We don't want any of our customers to be unhappy, and we'd never knowingly send out damaged chocolates. If you had contacted our Customer Care team, they could have helped with this. Hopefully the two that you sent to your friend arrived unscathed and your in joke was as impactful as you'd hoped it would be.

I was shocked to see how small the box of 25 chocolates was when it arrived. Large box was the description !!? It's a gift so hasn't been opened yet.

Our large boxes of chocolates contain 25 handcrafted fresh chocolates made with local ingredients and slave-free, ethical chocolate, each of them hand-decorated and hand-packed into plastic-free packaging. We think the recipient will find them exquisite!

Disappointed. There weren't two of each in the box & it was difficult to tell what flavours they were from the enclosed leaflet, There were far more on the leaflet than in the box. Nice chocolates, but disappointing leaflet.

Thank you for your feedback and we're so glad you enjoyed our chocolates. The Large Fresh Selection box of 25 chocolates isn't designed to have two of each chocolate in the box - only our Award-Winners Sharing box is meant to. Our online selection boxes are made up to templates from our main seasonal menu of approximately 40 different chocolates which are all handmade using the freshest local & ethically sourced ingredients on a cyclical basis, and it's this menu card which is used in the box.

Nice chocolates but a lot of damage in transport, ordered almost £50 of chocolates wrapped up them up straightaway and then was left looking glum on wife’s birthday when most was damaged. Can’t be bothered complaining and getting stressed, but won’t be ordering again

We change the contents of our subscription boxes every month to ensure that there's an ever-changing variety of flavours as well as showcasing our seasonal chocolates and chocs of the month, so there should always be variety. But we'll keep reviewing the contents to ensure that we get it right as we want you to continue to love them all!

Hi it all looks very good apart from the bauble which is slightly messy but I'm sure will still taste delicious I know its all hand made but still a bit pricey! ❤️

Thank you, we're sure everything will taste delicious. Our Milk Chocolate Baubles are hand decorated with spatters and splashes, and everything we make is hand crafted from sustainable, ethical and slave-free chocolate, hand decorated and hand packed, so we think worth every penny.

This is the second time I’ve ordered from chococo as I was very pleased the first time. Unfortunately this time the chocolates has become quite bashed around in the post and so when my husband opened the box they weren’t beautifully presented as in the picture. Many were on their side or upside down or leaking. I tried to correct them but it wasn’t really possible as they had come out of their wrappers etc and the sections in the box were quite small. The chocolates were delicious but disappointed about the presentation.

The product was good, delivery was disappointing as it was advertised as a letterbox gift but couldn’t be posted through the letterbox so didn’t arrive on the correct day.

We're so glad that you loved our brownies, but sorry to hear you were disappointed with the delivery. Our bakes aren't a letterbox gift, so sorry if you got the wrong end of the stick there. We've checked the tracking and can see that delivery was attempted on the date that delivery was requested but there was nobody there, hence delivery was reattempted the next day.

Chocolate was ultimately fine but please tell your courier’s not to leave your parcels in someone’s garden rubbish bin. Doesn’t make for an appealing food gift!!

This sounds like a worrying case of - dun, dun, duuuuun - Chocolates Eaten Straight From The Fridge (small scream)!! Please no, not straight from the fridge!! Just like cheese, the flavours are best if the chocolates are brought back to room temperature before being eaten.

Disappointed, as not enough care taken for delivery. Although chocolates were very nice four had melted in the box leaving a mess, thank goodness they were not purchased as a present.

Sorry to read this as we thought we'd explained about our clusters. Some of our chocolates - Hazelnut Latte Cluster & Roasted Almond Cluster - might give the appearance that they have melted, but it's just they way they have been made; they're piped into the petit fours cases whilst melted, and then they solidify (so they're not round domes or gems like our other chocolates.

Having to sign for a delivery doesn’t work for me. Royal Mail has v restricted collection hours for 4 days and not at a convenient time. Chocolates v good but due to the above I hesitate about recommending or another order as the arrangement is impractical.

We're so glad that you love our chocolates, but we're sorry to hear that Royal Mail tracked delivery service doesn't work for you. However you'll be pleased to know that a signature isn't required upon delivery and once you have your tracking number it's simple to change your delivery options before delivery is attempted (and after). You can specify delivery on a convenient day, to a neighbour or other local address or to a designated safe-place, as well as collection from a local Post Office.

Not our order - a friend sent them as a birthday present but we kept getting mailing and ordering updates from Chococo as if we had done it! NOT appropriate for us to have these details including the cost!!

Thank you for your review for the recent gift you received, and we're really sorry to sorry to hear that all the email communication including the order confirmation was sent to you. The only way this can happen is if the person who purchased the gift used your email address instead of theirs when they placed the order. We only have one field for an email address, so it's not a case of switched information. There is an instruction on our checkout which states "If you are buying a gift, please put your email address in at the top, then the recipient's delivery address, then your billing address", so we're sorry your friend missed this.
