The chocolates were very tasty. I bought a box for my husband’s birthday and 3 bars - one for each of my sons. Unfortunately, two bars and a packet came with no explanation. Would have preferred what I ordered, and some explanation if it was going to be different.

I BOUGHT THE LARGE WINNERS BOX PLUS CHOICE OF BROWNIE OR BAKE BUNDLE. MY WIFE HAS GLUTEN INTOLERANCE AND I SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR GLUTEN FREE CHOCOLATES AND YOUR COMPANY CAME UP AS BEING GLUTEN FREE. THE BOX OF CHOCOLATES WERE FINE AND MY WIFE IS ENJOYING THESE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE BAKE BUNDLE HAS WHEAT IN THE MIX AND SHE WAS UNABLE TO EAT THIS.

Thanks for your message and we’re really pleased to hear your wife is enjoying the chocolates. Just to clarify, we don’t claim to be a gluten-free company, and unfortunately, we can’t control how our products appear in internet search results. That said, we’re always careful to clearly display all ingredient and allergen information on our website. In this case, the bake you selected as part of your bundle does include gluten and this is marked with a bold "Contains Gluten" label right next to the product images, as well as listed in the ingredients. We're very sorry if you didn't look at this. We know it can be frustrating when you're shopping for someone with specific dietary needs, and we're always happy to help if you need guidance on safe choices next time, but we would urge you to check the product information and not just rely on a search engine suggestion.

I ordered two Easter eggs from Chococo after seeing them featured over the last few years and having promoted them through my platform to thousands of people. I decided it was finally time to treat myself and try them firsthand. While I was looking forward to the experience, I was unfortunately left a little disappointed. One of the eggs arrived completely smashed, which seemed to be due to the chocolate being extremely thin and fragile. While the flavour of the chocolate was enjoyable, it didn’t quite reflect the quality or visual appeal shown in the website imagery. There were also some issues with the honeycomb inside. Part of it had softened and stuck to the packaging, which made me wonder if the egg had broken before it was even shipped. The second egg arrived intact and tasted lovely, but again, there were inconsistencies with the thickness of the chocolate. I do appreciate the company’s effort to avoid plastic packaging in favour of sustainability. However, when the packaging compromises the product’s condition, it may be worth exploring alternative eco-friendly materials that provide better protection. I contacted the company thr same day and they responded promptly after the bank holiday weekend. A refund was issued for the damaged item, which I appreciated. Still, while the customer service was efficient, it didn’t resolve the underlying quality and packaging concerns. Given the premium price point of these Easter eggs, especially from a brand that’s won awards and received national media coverage, I had higher expectations for both the product and its durability during delivery. I genuinely hope future batches see improvements in consistency and packaging, as the brand clearly has potential.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We were surprised to hear that you promoted Chococo on your platform without having tried our products first-hand. We would generally expect any brand promotion to be based on genuine experience, as this ensures an accurate and honest representation to your audience. Regarding your order, we promptly refunded the damaged egg after your initial email. As we explained, we take great care in hand-packing all of our products, and can assure you that all items leave us in perfect condition. Receiving a damaged item is disappointing and certainly not how we want our chocolate to arrive. We have used our plastic-free packaging for a number of years, with only a very small number of damages, which are usually caused by handling during transit rather than any fault with the packaging. The texture issue with the honeycomb is due to air exposure when the egg broke in transit, causing it to soften and become sticky. As for the inconsistency in chocolate thickness in the other egg, this is simply a result of the handcrafted nature of our chocolates. We stand behind the quality of our award-winning chocolate and appreciate the time you took to provide your review. Thank you again for your comments, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future.

Hi, I had honestly hoped for more. I found the chocolates to be quite weak in flavour, often it wasn't clear what the flavour was supposed to be (i.e. without the booklet you wouldn't have been able to guess)

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback and we’re sorry to hear our chocolates didn’t quite live up to your expectations. Taste is very personal, and if all the flavours seemed weak, it may be down to them being eaten cold (straight from the fridge can dull flavour), or even something like a cold coming on, which can really affect your sense of taste. Many of our filled chocolates have won awards, and we have a lot of loyal fans, but if they're not for you, then we understand that we can't win 'em all!

Ordering and delivery was good no issues, received on time, well packaged not damaged. The products were a bit bland. For the price bracket I expect better. I've purchased from several other chocolatiers whose products I prefer.

Chocolate is nice but service is patchy at best - was specifically told a free special offer item would be included in my order but it wasn't and when I pointed this out, I was ignored. My advice is to check you get what you paid for and assume that any special offers are a scam to lure you in but you wont get them. Lacklustre service from a “premium” brand.

We're very sorry to read this and are genuinely sorry that the free bar wasn’t included with your order, especially after we confirmed it would be. That was a genuine mistake on our part, and we understand how frustrating that must have been. Just to clarify, the promotional code for the offer was active and working correctly at the time, but it needed to be entered at checkout with the promotional bar already added to the basket. It seems the issue may have been down to how the code was applied, and we’re sorry for any confusion. While we appreciate it’s disappointing not to receive the free item, we do want to reassure you that your paid-for order was correctly fulfilled, and the offer was not a scam - simply an error in applying the promotion and then a slip on our part in not manually correcting it as promised. We do take your feedback seriously, and we’ll be reviewing this internally to make sure we’re clearer with future offers and follow through properly when we say we will. I ordered a wide variety of chocolate bars/buttons and a box of chocolates too. We are a family with two gluten intolerant members so was particularly keen to have some gf products. Loved the buttons (though would have preferred larger size) and the honeycomb bar was delicious, however I found the chocolates challenging, didn't like most of the centres and did not enjoy the taste of the gf chocolate. Sorry, I don't usually leave negative reviews but I am being honest.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the honeycomb bar and the buttons (and we’ll take the note on size on board!), but we’re sorry to hear that the filled chocolates weren’t to your taste and that the oat m!lk chocolate didn’t quite hit the mark either. We know flavour is very personal, especially when it comes to filled chocolates, and while we aim to offer a wide variety, not every centre will be for everyone. Just to clarify, we don’t label any of our products as gluten-free, as all are made in an environment where gluten is present. The chocolate you mention was likely our vegan-friendly oat m!lk chocolate, which doesn’t contain gluten as an ingredient. Having a creamy taste without dairy, this plant-based, vegan-friendly chocolate is the perfect milk chocolate alternative. Thanks again for your feedback.

Delivery was quick but for the price of the egg I did expect either really delicious chocolate or for it to be huge. It was neither really and there was a lot of dark chocolate inside when it is listed as a milk chocolate egg - it was the giant dino egg

All the information on our website should have provided a clear idea of what to expect, so we're sorry that it didn't quite hit the mark, but we really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We just wanted to reassure you that it is made with delicious chocolate! Our signature 47% Colombia origin milk chocolate is a Gold Great Taste award-winner, so it’s definitely something we’re proud of! This egg is studded with 16 chocolate dinosaurs and fossils in milk, dark, and white chocolate and this was clearly mentioned on the web page page. The product images showed these as well. In addition, we also included an image showing the egg in a hand to help visualise the size, and the weight was clearly shown.

As a loyal fan, I would have given this a 5-star review a couple of years ago. However, this year, I’m disappointed with the quality of the chocolate and the fact that one of my Easter eggs arrived broken. I missed the two-week window to let them know, but I was still let down. In previous years, the eggs had a gorgeous, delicate layered quality that could tell they were handmade. This year, the texture and taste seemed different, and I was less impressed than in the past. I fear that with company growth, there has been a decrease in quality and care.

Had we known in time, we could have put this right for you. Please rest assured there has been no decrease in the quality or care we put into our chocolates; they are still made in Dorset in small batches, using the same single-origin chocolate and thoughtful attention to detail as always. The design of the egg was great, we are big dino nerds. However the quality of the chocolate felt a little cheap for the price paid. A little like Christmas calendar chocolate.

We totally get that taste is personal, but we promise there’s nothing cheap about our chocolate. Our dinosaur Easter egg is made with our signature 47% Colombia origin milk chocolate - a Gold Great Taste Award winner, no less - which is sustainably sourced, ethical and slave-free! So while we’re thrilled you loved the dino design, we’re gutted the chocolate didn’t hit the spot for you. Thanks for giving it a try and for taking the time to share your thoughts. For the price I would expect the Easter eggs to be packaged better. There was no packing in there to protect them, just the eggs in a box, which obviously doesn't protect them. Resulting in 1 being smashed to pieces, so I couldn't give it as a gift in that state. I won't be purchasing from this company again, as I don't want to spend over £50 to have smashed items.

We take great care when packing our eggs and send out thousands each Easter with only a very small number arriving damaged which are more to do with how parcels are handled during transit rather than the packaging itself. Ordered the coffee and white chocolate bar. Wish the coffee granules had covered all of the botom of the bar like the old coffee chocolate bar used to have. Found the squares that the coffee granules were missing didn't taste of coffee at all. Your chocolate is amazing , just a small observation.

Hi. I ordered one of your baubles (reduced price I think?) with chocolates inside. The bauble was broken into several pieces but I didn't bother to get in touch as was for me and I still enjoyed it! Just wanted to make you aware. The chocolate was lovely 😋

The parcel was then successfully delivered the following day, within the expected delivery window.
