We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“Delivery was quick and efficient, the website could be improved, the chocolate was not great. Seems the cost is largely covering packaging and marketing. Similar delivery gifting services do it better, like the packaging box also being a card that you can pick the design and add a message too enhancing the provision.”

“Unfortunately, we didnt get to sample them. I bought them as a gift on 12th December for my parents who were regular Hotel Chocolate customers, until the change in their product ( making it sweet) - by the time they were opened they were past their use by date. Not sure why the date is so brief”

Thank you for your honest review. We're sorry to hear that by the time your recipients opened the box they were past their eat by date. The Award Winners Box you purchased is a fresh box - using fresh ingredients -which we try to highlight as much as we can on the website. We even show the date it will need to be eaten by, when you're viewing the product on the website.

“I've bought Chococo a few times now and they never disappoint! My wife and I got advent calendars this year and both loved them! Neither of us are particular fans of alcoholic chocolates but we both commented on how good they were compared to others (not just alcohol burn). All the packaging being paper/card is amazing too! I’ve bought other chocolates as gifts that have always been well received!”

“So disappointed with this purchase I will never order from here again. They are extremely overpriced for the miniature box of chocolates that arrived however it was packed in a large cardboard box such a waste. Do not buy these tiny 9 chocolates in a tiny box for the price!”

“I bought the "Classic Advent Calendar" from Chococo for a friend for the run up to Christmas. Using their website was a breeze & the calendar was off & posted by them very quickly. My friend appreciates good chocolate & has been saying that it not only tastes fantastic, but the selection of flavours in the box is pretty creative & wonderful. The packaging itself is classy & a feast for the eyes. I think she's going to be a repeat customer with Chococo from now on. I haven't tasted the chocolate myself, but I've been getting rave reviews on the gift.”

“The chocolates were delicious with many unique flavours - beautifully presented in a stylish box. The only trouble is I struggled to identify what each one was as there’s so many similar designs due to huge library they feature in each box. So I’ll only be buying the boxes where I know exactly what’s in each box in future.”

“Chocolates delicious as always. However do not think the extra expense of the doors on the advent calendar is worth it. As it comes with a menu it’s not like it’s a surprise. Probably won’t purchase again next year at that price point.”

“Lovely chocolates and especially brillant as each day is different! I have been enjoying comparing to the back images and my partner and I trying to figure out which it is before checking the answer sheet - though the names have been different which is confusing. Only 4 stars as unfortunately one of my chocolates was crushed and the runny caramel stuck to the inside of the window. The doors themselves have not ripped perfectly open however not as bad as revealing other windows. I will definitely be buying next year's version - I hope by then teething issues with the first years version will be improved. It would also be nice to have some white chocolate and more milk chocolates (or oat m!lk).”

“quite difficult to work out which chocolates are which from the diagram, the patterns on top of the chocolates are all very similar and the colours don't tend to match the diagram very well.”

Thank you for your honest feedback. We can appreciate the similarity of some of the patterns. With our decorators doing all of their decorating by hand, it's difficult for all chocolates to be exactly the same as the diagram.
