I ordered on the Sunday afternoon before New Years Eve and the boots arrived on the Tuesday. Unbelievable quick delivery especially during the holiday period. Superb service and I would definitely use again. Very pleased with the boots (Base London) that fitted perfectly and caused absolutely no discomfort.

Disappointed by the language '365 day, hassle free returns'. Not convinced its clear and transparent - something I might ask the ASA and CMA to look at. I read it to mean returns are free only to latterly read the small print which states the customer needs to cover returns costs. Customers ahould take care on this point when ordering.

We dodeliver free of charge but we do not cover the cost of returns, we do have a handy returns portal you can use, to access a reduced-price, fully tracked Royal Mail return label. This costs £3.20. You can take your return to a Charles Clinkard store free of charge. Just take along your shoes and order number. Shoes too small, not a s8 (41, which is a UK 7.5). Returned.

I wasn’t impressed with the presentation of the shoes I purchased, for the price I paid. The box was damaged and the shoes looked like they had been tried on, and were thrown in the box. When ordered from Josef Seibel directly for the same pair in a different size, there was much more care in how they despatch and package their shoes. So a little disappointed. Also was a slight mark on the shoe but husband was happy to keep the shoes so didn’t complain

We do have replacement tissue and boxes for any that are damaged or not properly packed, I am sorry that this was not used to package your shoes. Although my order was fine I was shocked to find that if the boots hadn’t have fitted correctly as can often be the case with footwear, the return would have to be paid for by me. I won’t order again from you due to this as I feel distance selling of footwear should have free returns in the UK.

Returns can be made to any of our Charles Clinkard branches and with our 365 day returns policy, you have plenty of time to return when it suits you.
