Made a purchase in the confidence that they offered the best price and 'if you can find it cheaper we'll refund the difference'. I made the purchase and a colleague found the same product on Amazon for £50 less. I applied for the refund under the 'price guarantee scheme' and was told that in section x of the small print in the terms it doesn't apply to goods sold on Amazon - a bit underhand I felt.... I have them 1 rather than 0 as the product arrived very quickly

I have just replaced the cartridges in my printer and the message comes up that it does not recognise them, this is going to make my Epson cartridges even more expensive

I have purchased various compatible ink cartridges for my Canon MP560 with no problems. However, I have recently added a new Canon MG3600 to my network and purchased compatible ink cartridges PG-540XL & CL541XL but the printer does not recognised these cartridges with regards ink levels although at present printing but displaying error message each time a print is requested. I am very disappointed that they are not compatible as they are advertised as such & as I have never before had problems with various compatible cartridges purchased ouer several years . This is the second time I have had this problem with the same compatible cartridges for my MG3600 printer. I thought at first this was just a glitch with first batch of cartridges but appears to be an issue with the MG3600 printer, disappointing. Trevor Field. (trevortfield@aol.com)

Canon printers have no way of looking inside the cartridge or detecting fresh ink. Instead the cartridge just monitors how many pages have been printed and the average page coverage since it was first installed into a printer. From this information your printer estimates the ink level of the cartridge and when it believes the ink cartridge is running low/empty will present you with the “Check Ink” , "Low ink" or a support code 1686 or 1688 message. As a result of this way of estimating ink levels, even an original Canon ink cartridge will almost certainly have some ink left when your printer warns you it is empty. Canon printers allows you to continue printing with a single button press and will usually give this prompt in a fairly sizable message once it detects that the cartridge may be empty. Simply hold down your printers STOP/RESET/RESUME button for five seconds and then release. Whilst the name with which the button is referred to may change, the symbol it is represented with will always remain the same. ( A circle with an upside down triangle inside). The cartridges should last as long if not longer than the original and we do guarantee this. If you do not want to persevere with this then we are happy to get the cartridges back for a full refund.

If you want your ink cartridge quickly go somewhere else, these guys aren't exactly amazon when it comes to delivery !

The ink cartridges I ordered are not accepted by my printer. It says wrong ink cartridge every time I change a cartridge. Therefore I have had to purchase some proper Epson cartridges. David Cornish

The ink cartridges arrive on time .the ink seem weak I had to clean heads when put in printer .then printed 2/3copys now printer has rejected the cartridge .

I placed an order with 4 different items. 2 of them were multipacks. The items were delivered separately (with the multipacks broken up into single items) over 6 days. Some didn't have packing notes and no complete invoice. Some needed signatures on delivery This made receipt long winded and extremely tiresome. I am running a business. I do not have the time or will to keep checking what is outstanding on an order. I chose Cartridge People because they were fractionally cheaper than others. The time wasted in monitoring the receipt has been very costly. Also, I received an opinion survey yesterday... am I now going to get 6 different surveys? Will not use the company again unless I absolutely have to.

Unfortunately - my HP compatible cartridges were not accepted by my printer despite all efforts to install Had to buy dedicated replacements.

When I order a "double pack" on line, I do not expect two items delivered separately, several days apart. Nor do I expect cartridges for a Canon printer to have to come to the UK from Switzerland. I ordered online because I needed the cartridges urgently and was at the time unable to drive following eye surgery. More than a week elapsed between order the first delivery and several more days before the second. By the way, I would not recommend it to a friend - but maybe to a colleague chasing the same next-level-up job!

I am terribly sorry to hear that our delivery service did not meet your expectations. I see that the order was dispatched on the same day of ordering. We do state that - Deliveries usually arrive with within 3-4 days, from the dispatch date. However, our website states that Deliveries can take between 2 - 7 business days. We do rely on the postal service to deliver as soon as possible. The twin pack was split into 2 parcels this is due to multiple stock locations and warehouses and also we find this helps you, our customer, as a smaller packet will usually fit through your letterbox, saving you a trip to your local sorting office or having to arrange re-delivery. I am sorry that the parcels got split in the postal system, and they arrived on different days. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience or frustration you have been caused.

Cartridges not recognised by printer, cancelled the flashing error lights is not solving the problem, can't see remaining ink levels.

That last purchase I made the colour cartridge was damaged,I sent a claim in vie the cartridge web site requesting a replacement or refund as per there so called 100% guarantee.I have not had a reply and that has been 10 days since I sent it.All in all very poor customer service

Dear George, Order Number GB170130-LA1850862 Thank you for your review. I can confirm that my colleague Jordan sent the email below on 14/02/2017 at 1614hrs. Please accept my apologies if this has not been received. I’m sorry that you are having a problem with the CL-41 Compatible Colour Ink Cartridge supplied by us. Please make sure all of the protective plastic cover has been taken off the print head. (Some cartridges have a protective label that needs to be peeled.) I would recommend that you run the printhead-cleaning program on your printer to clean the heads and push the ink through. You can clean the print head from your computer using the Head Cleaning utility in the printer software, or from the printer itself by using the printer's control panel buttons, for best results you should run the program two to three times. If you find that after following this procedure you are still having a problem please let me know by replying to the email address customerservice@cartridgepeople.com and including your model of printer. I have used Cartridge People in the past with no problems with delivery, usually the cartridges were pushed through my letter box. However this time I came home to find a card from your courier saying they had tried to deliver, as I wasn't in, they had taken my parcel back to their depot. For a £5.00 fee I could arrange delivery to be made on a specific day. I was expecting a few parcels over the same time, all much larger than my printer cartridges, so I paid the £5.00 fee for delivery to be made on Saturday. I was surprised when the delivery was made that it was in fact my printer cardtridges that could easily have been pushed through my door. I queried this with the driver and he said they weren't allowed to do that they must have a signature to say the parcel had been delivered safely. Could you not have asked a neighbour to sign for the parcel, no madam we have to deliver to the address. Seriously, not happy, I order on line to save me time and money, I have had to pay an extra £5.00 for these cartridges, I think you need to review your delivery courier I know the £5.00 hasn't gone to Cartridge People, I feel this is just a ployby the courier company to get more money from the consumer!!!

On this occasion the goods you ordered came directly from the supplier for speed and a courier service was used. it is the supplier that has stipulated that the courier is to deliver to the the address stated and a signature is required, to ensure that the goods are received by the correct person. The courier used does offer alternative re-delivery services, including a free next working day option, a designated day service, and a premium Saturday service, the latter 2 would normally incur a charge. If no contact is made by the customer after a card has been left, the courier will try and redeliver on the next 3 working days. Unfortunately, the cartridges I ordered did not fit my HP printer as they were not authentic cartridges, so had to send all of them back, which took a lot of messing around and left me without a printer for over a week. The authentic cartridges ended up costing me double the price. This is not specified when ordering. However saying that the whole process of sending back went smoothly and i got my money back, and Judith in customer services was very helpful. Not sure I could order from there again now though.

Some printer are set with a software by the manufacturer which can prevent or hinder the use of a compatible cartridge. Unfortunately you are unable to tell if the software is present until you try and use a re manufactured cartridge.
