“Quality of product is great upgraded to a super upgrade IMO the upgrade should be a standard mat,I was expecting a thick lush pile but have what I would call a standard mat!!!! They also don’t offer free returns which these days is unacceptable. Again another lesson learned I’ll get them from Amazon next time…..”

Hi Peter Thank you for your order and for leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear you weren't happy with the product received. We offer four qualities of carpet, two of needle punch and then two velour styles, one of which you have ordered. We do offer a thicker variety that you may well have been happier with for your vehicle. We are a small independent retailer and we try to keep our prices as low as possible, as such we cannot offer free returns. We do state this on our website so customers are aware before purchase.

“The mats are fine and fit the car perfectly. The issue is the smell is terrible. No matter how much I have aired the mats the smell of rubber is so strong.”

“Bought the second choice up in terms of quality and pretty disappointed in them, even at Black Friday prices. Should have bought from a physical shop where I could have felt the material first. Very thin pile, unyielding base.”

I can see that you've purchased our Grand mats, we do offer two higher qualities that might have been closer to your expectations. In most cases it wouldn't be possible to purchase tailored mats for your specific vehicle due, being online-only means we can cover a huge number of models and make everything to order, for your specific tastes.

“Comparing the previous bought "MOTOR" car mats, there does not seem to be any difference between the Motor & the Grand.”

Hi Sylvia Thank you for your order & for leaving a review. We offer 4 qualities of carpet which are progressively thicker and more luxurious. The Motor and Grand are made of the same type of material but the Grand mats have an improved trim, thicker backing and a deeper pile. If you were looking for velour mats then these are available in our Super and Executive range.

“Had a problem when ordering as "CarMats" do not check whether the mats for the car that you are ordering for is manual or automatic. Once this was sorted out and they decided that my car was automatic, I then had to send a wrong completed set back at my expence set”

Hi Edward Thank you for your order & email. I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed in your experience with our car mats. We have two versions of the mats for your vehicle, "V70 Manual" and V70 Auto", we leave this to the customer to purchase the correct version whether they have a manual or automatic. In your case, you required the automatic version but originally ordered the manual set. I can see that our team exchanged your order for you and your replacement was with you inside a week.

“Bought rubber mats for EV6. Quite good quality but sadly the holes are too small for the anchor points on the floor, and the rear mats are way out of alignment. A pity.”

“WARNING IF YOU'RE BUYING AS GIFT…. The quality of this product looks great I decided to order mats as a surprise for my husbands birthday I bought personalised ones to match his BMW and was looking forward to giving the surprise! However As the mats were delivered in a clear plastic sleeve that was taken away from me I was furious! After complaining that opaque packaging should be used apparently it’s on the website at the bottom no mention on the order page so if it’s a surprise gift either order elsewhere or deliver to a neighbour! Btw no offer of recompense due to the additional gift I’m now going to have to purchase as well!!”

We highlight this on the FAQs on each product page and specifically on our Delivery page. We're sorry to hear that this has caused an issue in your household. In your original contact to us, you requested that we provide a refund to allow you to purchase a second gift, whilst keeping the car mats. As we highlight how the mats are delivered throughout the website, I'm afraid we are unable to offer any compensation for your mats arriving in a clear bag.

“Mats fit very well. I got the cheap style mat for the boot and the more expensive ones for the foot wells. I was a bit disappointed there is no difference in quality between the two.”

“The mats themselves are great, well made and just look perfect for my car. The low star rating is due to the courier service you use. Hermes is disgraceful and should be ashamed of the way they treat paying customers. I personally would pay more for a better service.”

Hey Olly Thank you for your order & for leaving a review. I'm not sure whether you're addressing Hermes generally, or your specific delivery. If you are addressing your specific delivery, then I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the delivery on your order. Your order was sent on a 2-day service with Hermes on Wednesday and should have been delivered on Friday. Hermes tried to deliver on Friday and Saturday but there was no one at the property before they successfully delivered on Monday. This is inline with our expectations and the service level we've agreed with Hermes.

We offer 4 qualities of carpet and I can see that you ordered our entry level Motor mats, you may have been happier with our Grand, Super or Executive mats. All our mats are made to order, which is why you were able to customised them to have a PVC heelpad and a blue trim. We aim to deliver all orders within 7 working days at the moment and I can see that your order was delivered in 4 working days, well within our expectations.

“I couldn’t quite fully appreciate all the options given to me… who knew car mats could be so different! When they arrived I thought they looked pretty standard, nothing special. Maybe my fault for not choosing certain options but they’re fine. At the end of the day, they’re car mats so I’m happy. Quality seems good too.”

“The car Mats are fine but could be improved… the glue in the coloured seam is visible, I ordered the four clip version but received the two clip version, and they are heavily branded on the front with a rubber tag of this companies name - in essence customer paid for advertising that is not required or necessary (taking a little liberty in all honesty). Overall quality, reasonable.”

Hey Jason Thank you for your order & for leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear that you had some issues with the product received. On some of the mats we do glue the seam, towards the back of the mat to ensure it's not visible. I have checked into your order and you did order the two clip versions, which is what you've received. Our mats are discretely branded on just the drivers mat, again at the rear so this shouldn't be visible when you are in the vehicle.
