Hello, I purchased ten 25kg bags of Monarch salt tablets through buyaparcel and on arrival four of the bags were ripped and one bag contained only 10kg. This is probably down to the hauliers who I am also contacting.

Cannot get through on the phone, expensive order and packaging woefully inadequate and thus everything turns up damaged. Absolutely shocking level of care into parcels. Heavy expensive items need more than shredded cardboard. Especially when said items are all packed loose inside.

Bought a dewalt chain saw from these guys, battery and charger was missing. Said they they had put it in the box but clearly says on the Box it comes with no battery and charger. Sent email with photos etc.. no response back.

It appears when you were last in touch we advised the included battery and chargers would have been added here in-house, and asked you to have a check in the box as the battery and charger would have been placed in there by our packers, despite the print on the box advising these weren't included from the factory. It appears we received no further contact from you after this, so we would have assumed you managed to locate the items you were concerned were missing due to the print on the box. Never received it as there was a problem with EVRI/Hermes delivery, refunded. Don't use EVRI they constantly lose parcels and so admit that they have.

Although the large majority of orders arrive safe and well, there is the occasional shipment that is delayed or doesn't reach destination. In these cases we would always provide a solution, such as a replacement order or a refund. Apologies there was a problem with your delivery. Sorry you have trouble reaching us. We have staff answering calls and responding to emails every day apart from Sundays. We are at a loss to understand why you had trouble reaching us and can only assume you called at times when the lines were busy. Sad that it didn’t work to reduce noise. Couldn’t return as had cut it to fit underneath the pump.

Absolute disaster sending out wrong item then not collecting when they’ were supposed too so I gave up I the end. The only way too restore my faith in this company would be if you sent me free of charge my correct first order many thanks .Roddy Paterson

We are unsure why you say you gave up in the end, implying this issue wasn't resolved. It seems the return was successfully collected the day following the initial booking, and the order refunded as soon as the item was collected. We would like to assure you this isn't a usual experience. The vast majority of orders are supplied without issue, and the vast majority of returns are collected without issue. Parcel arrived damaged and buy a parcel would not replace! Shocking company and won't be using again.

Hi, We can confirm you reached out to us to advise your order was damaged. Unfortunately the damage shown was significant, which would imply this issue would be clear on delivery and the state of delivery would show this. Because the item was delivered well over 48 hours prior to you raising this issue, and tracking showed no signs of damage to the shipment, it seemed highly possible damage you reported occurred after delivery. If raised within 48 hours of delivery, we would resolve an issue with damage without fuss on the assumption damaged occurred in transit, after this period we cannot accept claims for damage as per the policy of management. We do our best to make this clear in our terms and conditions of sale (https://www.buyaparcel.com/terms-and-conditions#delivery) as per the below: "Damaged parcels should be rejected when the delivery is attempted. If the parcel has been damaged, items you ordered are missing or incomplete but you did not see it until you accepted it, please contact us within 48 hours to make us aware and we will work with you to replace it or refund it. It would be helpful if you could provide images of the damage & packaging too. We only have a short time frame in which we can report damages to our couriers, so please co-operate by notifying us within this time frame." Kind regards, buyaparcel customer services.

Didn't turn up until almost a month later shocking. They sorted the issue with evri after a couple of days of me getting on to them though but still wouldn't use again.

HI Michael, Thanks for your review. Sorry your delivery was delayed. It seems you didn't notify us right away, however when you did our friendly team chased up the shipment. It was quickly located and delivered within 48 hours of your enquiry by the carrier. We would never intend for a shipment to take around 2 weeks to arrive (not quite the month you advise in your review). Sadly delays do occur with some shipments. We ship hundreds to thousands of items every day and can't actively monitor each shipment. We rely on our customers advising us their shipment is late as soon as possible, for us to chase it up should there be a problem. If we aren't notified, our team wouldn't be aware your order was delayed and wouldn't have pursued a solution until you notified us. My dealings with Buyaparcel were fine but if they continue to use Evri as their courier they are going to lose customers. Although I was told they had received the order and it was out for delivery it never arrived. Not for the first time this has happened or been delivered to the wrong address. It took so long to sort out that I had to buy from another company and claim a refund from Buyaparcel. I've only given 1 star because of Evri.

We can confirm we do use EVRi for our economy/free shipping option, however, if you aren't comfortable with EVRi you can choose to have your order shipped with another company if you choose one of the premium options for delivery. HI Michael, Sorry about this delay. Frustratingly we have seen more delays than usual this festive season with all carriers. These delays have bled into the new year somewhat and seems an industrywide issue at this time. Although the vast majority of our shipments have arrived on time. In some cases we have seen items we sent in December only just begin to arrive. Absolutely awful don't buy from them. I ordered a makita reciprocating saw and paid for next business day delivery as it was urgently needed for one of my jobs. I received an email saying it has been delivered however there is no sign of my parcel anywhere, I have tried contacting customer service by email several times and also by phone over 50 times and still no response. This is a very recent order if I don't hear from them I will be reporting them to trading standards. Please be very careful ordering from these people.

I bought a DeWalt leather tool belt from Buy a Parcel for an anniversary present. I'd love to say how wonderful it was, but it wasn't delivered! Evri, (formerly Hermes), just didn't bother! I spoke to someone at Buy a Parcel, who confirmed that Evry made absolutely no attempt to deliver, returning the parcel instead of coming to our door. This is not the first, or last time Evri/Hermes has refused to deliver a parcel to us. I had to wait a long time for a refund and what's more, I had to look for another gift, with very little time to do so. I will never tire of writing bad reviews when it comes to Hermes, or Evri, or whatever they want to call themselves, because they are the worst courier company in the world! If your business is reliant on this god awful company, you will go into liquidation very soon, having to pay out for delivery AND then having to refund your customers! STOP USING HERMES/EVRI!
