The end product is good quality. It is a nice photo book. Using the web interface was a nightmare and the help desk knowledge was very poor. I would not use the web interface again.

Hi Anthony, I am sorry that you struggled with the online creator. As I understand it, there were a few instability issues with your internet connection. I do think that you'll find our desktop software much better, in this case. As you will only need to connect when you download the software initially and also when you are ready to order. The online creators require a constant, strong connection. Do get in touch if you 'd like any help with the Bob Designer software. Kind regards, Bob Books

Most books have been very good but my book on Mauritius proved to be very disappointing. The first book although the preview was doubly checked showed a picture of a ceiling instead of a room. You reprinted the book again for nothing but again another picture came out completely wrong. I am at present making up another book but have to do a preview at least three times to check MY pictures are correct. Also I have emailed to receive a voucher for £10 and have heard nothing. Must admit I am considering another company after all the years I have dealt with you

Although I was pleased with my photobook, I would have appreciated if you'd told me before printing it that I'd put the text on the front cover on a dark background, with the result that it's virtually illegible. I know you can't be expected to correct my mistakes, but this was a very obvious one that I couldn't have predicted (as a complete amateur!), and if you'd let me know, I could have changed the text to white before you printed the book.

I have in the past had 3 or 4 books from Bob's books and found the web site easy to use. But this time I found it very difficult to use. It was very slow and confusing and nothing like as easy as it used to be. The actual book was fine when it came so I have no problems there just with your web site

The quality of the printed photos was quite good but several photos including the front cover were overexposed compared to what I got when I printed the same photos.

Printing quality of photos excellent, but 'shiny' cover disappointing and not as good as other self publishing companies- even Apple books. Online software not great- formatting of text in text boxes kept cropping out text, photos frequently rotated randomly even though book was saved and it was very difficult to place multiple photos and get even borders between images. Would not use this again unless these things were improved.

Unfortunately our hardback and paperback books are laminated with a glossy protect, so do appear shiny, expect the matte paper book which do have a matte finish. We are looking to be able to offer this across all paper types, but this is not possible yet. I am sorry you experienced problems with our Online Book Creator, there was a known issue which has been resolved by our developers. Unfortunately as the Online Book Creator creates your book online, compression and storage issues can arise, but we aim to fix these as quickly as possible, I do apologise for the inconvenience caused. I would recommend you try our Bob Designer software which allows you to create your book offline and is more stable and robust so you should not run into similar problems. I ordered a single print (A4 size), the ordering was very straight forward. But I had to wait the full 10 days for the print to arrive. On a telephone call to chase it up I was told it had been sent abroad to print and that was why it was taking the full 10 days. It seams odd that one print could take that long and if printed in the U.K. you could deliver a better service. The paper and print quality was good, Just don't expect it in a hurry..........

I'm usually very happy with Bob Books but an error in printing made every page in my album have a white consistent border. Was made to feel it was due to my design but has never happened before in any of the albums I order neither did it happen in the other book I had in exactly the same order. Still waiting for my refund.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. I have looked into this order and can see that the images were not placed up to the bleed lines in your book, which means that when the book was trimmed white lines appeared around the edge of your book, the other book you ordered was designed correctly so did not have this issue. We have just received your book back at our lab and the refund has been initiated for you. It looks like you have placed another order of the damaged book, please can you confirm that you have made the necessary changes to your image placement, otherwise this issue will occur again? Ordered book as lay flat but got not layflat, mainly due website not as helpful as should be, reordered and paid for another, this time got lay flat book, very good quality, told I would get a voucher but not received as yet.

Due to the nature of our PDF to Book software and iPad App, it is not possible to combine different photobooks in one order, though you can order multiple copies of the same photobook. In the event that you do use these software tools and order 2 different photobooks, please do get in touch with us we will refund the different in p&p cost as per our multiple order p&p charges. The photobook was safely delivered well within the quoted time and was well packaged. It was printed without any obvious mistakes. The colours look bright, the images sharp and as the originals however, I was quite disappointed with the quality of the paper even though we had chosen one of Bob Books more expensive options. I have used other photo book suppliers in the past who have provided better quality. If I were to use this company again then I would order the pictures to be printed on their very best quality paper but would I use them again....?

I was very satisfied with the photo book I ordered. It was easy to set up and of good quality. I was however really disappointed with the calendars- the was limited choice regarding layout and the colour of the photos inaccurate. I contacted BobBooks who were helpful, however I lacked time to be to re-order them

quality of final product is excellent however, I didn't find the website particulary user friendly. We had difficulty dragging and dropping some photos (using a MAC) and the book arrived with some blank pages. I realise this was our error (we thought that the blanks in the view were because the panorama's we'd chose couldn't be displayed in this. I think for the price of the product (I spent over £100) there should have been some communication from you before printing a book with two blank double pages and two other pages with a clear space for a photo. I would be the first to admit that I'm not the most compute savvy but I'm not an idiot either and will have more skill than other people using your service so, all in all, I think it could be more user friendly

Our books are printed as you see them on screen and any pages left blank will not have anything printed on them. We only check our books for quality and production issues and do not assess them on a design basis as we do not know if you intend to leave pages blank – some of our customers do so they can write or attach things on these pages.
