I received flowers as a birthday gift. There was no card attached. I wanted to thank the sender. I contacted Appleyard no less than four times to ask them who sent the flowers. I have had no response after three weeks. I tried to contact the "chat line". It is not working. Would I recomend using this flower service? Unlikely.

I had 3 bouquets delivered to me the first was damaged and I didn't even unpack it. When given credit to have another bouquet I chose peonies which never opened. The 3rd attempt was arranged by a customer service representative. The white peonies were magnificent. But the spray roses dies within 2 days and the lilies were bruised. After 3 attempts I give up. I don't think the quality is matching up to the price. Unlike previous experiences with Appleyard this was incredibly disappointing.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, and we're so sorry to hear about the condition your bouquets arrived in. They shouldn't have turned up bruised, and according to our freshness guarantee, should have lasted longer than two days. Please accept our apologies, as this is far below the standard we aim to achieve. This case has since been escalated, and one of our Customer Complaints team has been in touch to try and get this resolved for you. Once again we really are so sorry we've let you down on this occasion, and hope to get this sorted for you soon.

Ordered flowers and a bottle of champagne for a birthday and paid additional money for before 1pm delivery. They failed to even deliver on the day let alone before 1pm. Use someone else.

Utterly dreadful. Avoid at all costs. Spent £50 on a bunch of flowers which i could have got fof £5 in the local petrol station. Dead after a few days. No style, sent in a brown box, no frills. Unhelpful customer service, Received credit after complaining for them to only take my credit away and give me no explanation why. The worst flower service i have ever used. Please do not use.

Terrible customer service. No response to repeated emails to try and get to the bottom of missed deliveries and repeated deliveries to the same address within days. Cancelling my subscriptions and going elsewhere.

Flowers were almost all dead and very poor quality upon arrival. Extremely embarrassing- I had ordered these from Canada for my mum who lives in the UK. I had high expectations for Appleyard but very disappointed. This will be my first and last time using this company. I should of placed an order with a local florist.

My order 600296531 for valentines day arrived the day after Valentines so it made it a bit pointless I phoned appleyard on valentines day to check where they were and it took 45 minutes for someone to answer the call

Valentine’s flowers NEVER AGAIN! I ordered £87 worth of flowers to be delivered on Valentine’s Day. On the day I got an email from Yodel saying they will deliver the flowers at 9pm! For me that completely defeats the purpose of Valentine’s Day. I spend a long time trying to talk to a chatbot, then a chat with a human being trying to get an earlier delivery slot. Finally got a call from them around midday saying they would try their best to get the flowers delivered at a reasonable time. They told me they had a different system for the delivery times and they could see there was a reasonable chance they would get delivered at 16:30. That gave me some hope but thinking back they only said that to manage my expectations and that I didn’t put in a request to cancel the order. On the call the person from Appleyard tried to blame Yodel but I told them it is Appleyard signing a contract with Yodel allowing 9pm delivery. In the end they delivered before 9pm so they did their job according to their T&Cs but my wife had already left the office by then. I understand Valentine’s Day is a very busy day for both Appleyard and Yodel but I paid an extra £5.99 for delivery and their flowers are not cheap. I don’t think it is too much to ask to have valentines flowers delivered at a reasonable time in the afternoon. 9pm deliveries on Valentine’s Day completely defeats the purpose. I could see the yodel driver had 123 deliveries in London that day and I was one of the last. I can imagine anyone after 4pm would not be happy with such a late delivery. Wouldn’t it have been better to have two Yodel drivers that day? I paid an extra £5.99 for delivery so I don’t think this is too much to ask. I won’t use Appleyard again. Aftersales experience: after a week I got an email asking if I was happy with the delivery. Obviously I wasn’t and I asked for my money back. Another week later I got an email asking me for proof I put a cancellation request in before delivery. Obviously I haven’t done that since on Valentine’s Day the person I spoke to said they cloud see that there was a reasonable chance of a delivery at 16:30 and that they would be in contact with Yodel and manage the situation. In hindsight I was naïve and got misled. I should have pushed for a refund on that call but I was more focused on getting the flowers delivered to my wife. False hope. I learned my lesson

6 of the 8 roses were visibly mouldy; drooping and at worst rotten in the middle. In fairness, the Appleyard team credited me for the full amount of the bouquet under the “happiness guarantee” and the customer service was excellent. It’s a shame initial quality control not held to the same high standard given the company prides itself on “luxury hand-tied bouquets”....

The first bunch of flowers came crushed, dying, and such poor quality for spending £130, the second set they sent as an apology again had dying flowers on them. The standards of the company has been going down recently and I certainly won’t be ordering again. The flowers were a present to my mum as she was going through a tough time and to get a phone call saying thank you for the flowers but they are all dying, to say the least I was shocked.

I have had 7 bouquets. The initial one was because I left a company who I hD worked for 21 years. When they arrived they were just about dead as were the next 4 bouquets. Yes you have given me a free gift of chocolates and have given me credits so I can get some more. I woul say that the last bouquet that came yesterday were about the best but highly unlikely to last 7 days.

The flowers were a birthday gift that have been tended to by a keen gardener. However they are already dying without blooming, which is disappointing.

Sent flowers and champagne to celebrate end of cancer treatment. Champagne didn’t turn up & when complained was offer a refund! Eventually arrived 5 days later & had to insist it was sent. Things go wrong but it’s how you manage them that counts. Double fail.

Unfortunately, the flowers that I ordered (Bluebelle Bouquet - Grande size) was nothing like the image displayed on the website. Very disappointing considering it was for my wife on our Wedding anniversary. Appleyard have credited the value plus £10 as a voucher, however I’m concerned a similar incident will happen.

Ordered a mix of peonies and Rose's. Only one of the five promised peonies was in the bunch which looked cheap rather than premium. This is the second poor bunch I've received from Appleyard. I used them again because they were good at rectifying it the first time but twice is too much of a coincidence. Have had to order peonies from elsewhere to ensure I can send what I ordered.

Our flowers weren’t delivered and customer service took days to reply and are saying that our claim is false. These were sympathy flowers and the lady who they were meant to be delivered to is honest and confirms she did not receive them. Appalling customer service. Will not use again

Easy to use website and great tracking process. I hadn't realised the flowers would come with a cute card as well. The flowers looked beautiful on arrival (my friend took a photo of them). I'm very happy with the company and I'll definitely go to you first when I need to order flowers.

Appalling value for money and the petals are already fading two days after delivery. It’s impossible to make a complaint as the customer service people do not reply
