Ok so I reviewed Anyvan a couple of days ago. I received a reply. I was told that they would not refund my money. They just repeated the answer they gave before and came up with stupid reasons why.. I went to the flat yesterday and my partner and I managed to move our wardrobe out of the bedroom without dismantling it and I have filmed it all so have proof now. All they needed to do is tilt the wardrobe. I’m disabled so I know that it would take more time to move it so on moving day when they arrived the were very busy and rushed, I did try and show them how to move it but they didn’t speak English and they couldn’t wait to leave. They just stood by when I was trying to demonstrate how to move the item. This was the reply… Good Evening Sinead, Thank you for your response. After reviewing your booking an outcome has been reached. 1. To safely move your item without causing any damage, the item would have to be dismantled to be moved. Alternatively, the item should have been dismantled upon arrival. The driver at the time was not pre[pared to dismantle the item as it was not requested when the booking was confirmed. 2. The picture you provided confirms that the wardrobe, upright, is taller than the door frame. At this time, the stance is final and no further refund will be processed. If you need any further assistance, don't hesitate to contact us. The wardrobe can’t be dismantled and there was no mention of the 2 seater sofa…. The reasons given are defunct. Please please don’t use this company. They pray on vulnerable people and have no intention of refunding your money.

I thought Anyvan would be a good service. I was more than sorely disappointed. The movers arrived and couldn’t speak English at all. I couldn’t communicate with them and they refused to move two items. A wardrobe and a 2 seater sofa, both of which I had moved into the flat fine. I tried to tell them how to remove the items and they didn’t even really try. They were not heavy for two people and I even tried to do it myself but I’m disabled and just wasn’t able to show them how to remove the items. As I was trying the man took photos of me without even letting me know. I suffer from anxiety and depression so when I logged into my account and saw the pictures I was so upset. I paid money for each item taken. They have refused to refund the money to me. I am struggling financially and I have had to book a different moving team to help me. I’m on disability payment and I really needed a refund. They were not able to provide the service I have paid for. On another note the movers left me at the flat and disappeared for an hour without telling me what was happening. I was waiting at my new property for an hour. When they finally arrived they refused to bring any of the furniture upstairs and put everything in the living room. Leaving as quickly as possible. The whole ordeal was really stressful. I tried to speak to Anyvan where the phone hung up more than 3 times. It took so long to get through. I was told that they would then send the request to the refund team after giving them the photos and they came back with a no? Basically I feel like they have stolen money for a service that was just terrible. I’m feeling very low about the whole thing. This is my first bad review for anything. I’m a really easy going person as I find it tough to be confrontational. I’m very sad!

Like everyone else(apart from the dubious good reviews)this company are shockingly bad at customer service, responding to problems and don’t forget they take 65% of your money for doing nothing. Take my advice scan down the page and get a better removal company who care and for a lot less money.

Avoid. Similar to other reviews - I paid a premium for a set collection time with the assumption delivery would be immediate or at least very soon after. (Nowhere on booking did it say this would not be the case).Delivery finally turned to at 7.30pm, over 8hours after collection. No tracking information available / working and no driver call or notification prior to arrival. Was promised a call back from a manager within 48hrs. Despite chasing 4 times I have never had that call back. Complete contempt - happy to take your money but if a problem arises provides no help or support. Left hugely out of pocket and upset by the stress caused

Awful company, avoid completely! The guys that turned up were rude and damaged several things in my house. The company completely refused to pay any kind of compensation after they broke my TV even though their drivers showed a lack of care and respect and they admitted to other damage in my house. Staff were dismissive. Definitely do not use this company.

Two man team was sent with inadequate room for my furniture. They were rude, aggressive and dragged mud all over my house. After 1 hour tense argument with the men and Anyvan - i felt more unsafe as my elderly parent were present. I asked them to leave and Anyvan said they would call be back after discussing with their manager to rearrange. No call came that day, I rang the day after and they said they would ask the person dealing with the issue to ring me, again no call back. Same happened the day after. Now it is 3 weeks later and they still have over £500 of payment and I have still not had a call to arrange my house move! Absolutely no vetting of the people they use from my experience and it’s dangerous just sending men who are aggressive and clearly have every intention to get out of doing what they have been paid to do. Hideous experience, my parent are still upset by it. I am waiting for a full refund so I can use a legitimate removal coming! Taking people’s money at such a difficult time and then refusing to communicate a resolution! Awful

Worst delivery service. My delivery reached me after 5 hours for a distance that was actually only 1 hour by road. And the driver said no to take all my luggage and I had to book a separate uber to carry rest of my luggage. I will not recommend to use them for amy services

Friendly enough men but damage done to wardrobe doors (flat packed) in transit When contacted about the damage and all proof of damage done and everything else they asked for they dismissed the claim because their men said they didn’t do it Would not recommend this company ever

If I could give this company minus 5 stars, I would. Moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do and they made the experience a hundred times worse. It was honestly the most stressful experience I have had in my 37 years. I booked and was told I was on the cusp of needing 2 or 3 vans. I added 30 more boxes to my booking and assumed this would take me to the 3 van minimum. I was called 48 hours before my move and told I'd have 5 people and 2 vans. Happy with this if they thought that's what it would take. Only one van and 3 people arrived, late and this meant we missed our completion time by 4 and a half hours. I had to send the van on to my new home, without having completed (luckily it was a new build and developer was very understanding), my buyer was irrate and wouldn't allow my solicitor to use funds from sale to complete on my purchase until the house was vacant, so I and my 63 year old mum had to empty two thirds of the house out into the garden (2 flights of stairs). The poor team who did turn up had to work until 10pm just to make sure that my stuff was safe and in my new place. I called AnyVan on the day to let them know what was happening and was told they would get hold of the removals company (yes, apparently AnyVan just work like a broker - not something that was obvious on their website). I waited an hour and never got a call back. I them called again and got a very apologetic sounding lady who promised to call me back the next day, to discuss compensation, but never did. All this left me with a bill from my buyer for their additional removal fees, and other costs, due to missing contractual completion time, without a home that I actually owned (again, I was very lucky that the developer was so understanding), and highly stressed by the while situation. I complained to AnyVan for their colossal F up and was told that because this was a case of "he said, she said" they would not tale the complaint any further. Disgusting customer service from what appeared to be a good company. Honestly I cannot rate these cowboys poorly enough. Please save yourself a lot of stress and go ANYWHERE else.

Huge mistake going with this company. I was expecting the driver to deliver my items that same day (van was loaded by 11.30am) however, I found out on the day he was thinking about driving the next morning because he had 4 hours sleep in days. What transpired was that overnight, they transferred all of my items to another van & a different driver delivered the next day. I did not know about this nor agree to it & strangely, it’s a breach of their own T&C’s which state you have to be present when they load / unload items etc because obviously the guys are more careful if you’re there! Items were put into a storage unit & I’ve since discovered that they have completely broken the electrical function of my electric reclining sofas & cracked the corner of a TV. Any van have said that because it’s beyond the 7 day window, they are not interested in investigating this even though I explained it went into a storage unit and came out 2 weeks later. The damage will cost me hundreds & not to mention the additional van I had to hire to take the rest of my stuff as they sent a smaller van to the job which could not fit everything. I am now pursuing this matter via the legal route and advise anyone to stay away from this company. Book directly with the van driver so you know who you’re getting & what type of service!

This company takes over 40% of the money up front for moves within the UK. (Workers get paid ten days after Job is completed). After operating expenses, it is no surprise when drivers are working WELL BELOW the minimum wage, with no benefits or responsibilities from this company which switches from being a transport company to an online tech company for its own convenience. The government needs to take a look at the gig labour laws here as they did with Uber and Pimlico.

the drivers turned up, immediately complained about access even though parking was blocked off, then immediately complained about sizes of boxes- these had been measured whilst on the phone to a member of your team, so I am confident they were accurate During the first hour, the 2 drivers moved 2 pieces of furniture and a few boxes, whilst complaining about the fact some of the boxes had books in and were heavy. These boxes are medium in size, used by royal mail for book and paper shipments, and not over 20 kg. They called any van, who called me- I said that the inventory had been done thoroughly, they had not measured or assessed any boxes, nor weighed any. The drivers then complained that I had to help load unless I wanted them to just throw stuff onto the van and damage it I then became removal staff number 3, having to cancel meetings and appointments as I was meant to be working from home whilst they had 2 hours to clear 2 rooms. Every heavy item was moved by myself, with no assistance- to be clear, I am 42 year old male, 19 stone, not been to the gym in 10 years, with torn muscles in my shoulder. But if I wanted my property moved, I had to do it myself. One stood on the van throughout putting blankets on things, but no organisation taking place. The other carried lighter items or assisted me with larger furniture. Once everything was loaded, finally on time, the one who had made all the complaints then stood on the van ammended the inventory with his assessment of what was large and what was not, asked if I agreed and I responded "whatever" not knowing what was coming... I then had an automated messag demand £150 . I was then told that my items would not be moved unless this was paid. Of course, at this stage, all my property is locked in the back of their van and they are sat in the cab just telling me to pay it. Tldr they haven't worked, have complained, then held my property hostage and demanded money to move it. I am utterly disgusted with any vans service- having spent 90 minutes measuring items for inventory, without weight EVER being mentioned , and being assured I would not be held hostage, at this stage all I can see is a company with a good phone center who then force customer to spend more and more money when they have no options available.
