The removal workers themselves were very quick, careful and professional. However the communications about the pricing and arrangements were very poor. There is a basic cost but you are charged extra for packing materials (over £200 in our case), for the equipment to move TVs and clothes, and by the box for everything they had to pack (nearly £10 per box. They also say they provide free insurance but once you sign up they explain this only covers your items while they are in the van. Any damages loading or unloading are not covered and we had to pay an extra £98 for this. It is very difficult to understand the pricing system and we ended up.paying almost three times the original office based estimate quoted on the website. My advice is get estimates from different movers before you make the decision and see if you can get firm quotations.

The positives- Getting the quotation was fast and I received a competitive quotation. The customer service was very responsive and helpful. Packers and movers were the same crew and they were very respectful and hardworking. The negatives - the invoicing system was hard to understand especially as I paid the invoices in stages as I used the packing and storage facilities. The packing service level was dependent on the person packing for you. My kitchen items were well packed and everything was intact upon delivery. However, there were some unmarked boxes which were then placed in the wrong room as the boxes did not have the contents marked. There was also some damage upon delivery such as finger holes in the mattress and the legs of the book shelves legs were chipped. The responsiveness upon reporting the damage was not as good as before. A huge tip, ensure that you keep all your receipts for everything that you have if you ever anticipate having to move as you will need to produce this as evidence when you are claiming for damages. Something that I didn’t foresee having to retain as some of my property was unfortunately damaged during the move. The claims are still underway so I’m not aware if it is successful yet.

We asked this company to move five large items of furniture for us. On arrival, two items were damaged. When we signed for the delivery and mentioned the damage, we were advised that the office would contact us further to sort this out. Twelve days later, we are still waiting on a telephone call from the removal company. Very quick to request payment but when things go the other way, no better than any other company. Especially considering we opted to pay an additional amount to insurance cover and they still cannot be bothered to follow up. Would we use again? No!

A mixed bag: Great home visit, quick quote, seemed very personal Expensive - however assumed professional Turned up on time and loaded/unloaded quickly Moved a large item of furniture rooms without an additional charge Very little interaction with the guys, I had to ask their names (no badges) Dining table that was dismantled was damaged, Email communication about this was very efficient although payment slow and still outstanding My child’s bike bell was snapped off - a new bell would have cost a few ££ but been a very easy way to make a much more personable and positive finish to the experience. Going the extra mile. Very much a large business and I would look for a smaller local remover next time.

The removal men were very pleasant and worked very hard all day. However they turned up nearly 3 hours late and didn't finish until 9.30pm.

Hi Jane, I looked very carefully at the vehicle tracker, they were later than planned arriving at your new address by two and a half hours. This can happen, rarely, but you were kept updated. I apologise once more for the inconvenience caused. All the very best in your new home.
