“I commissioned a survey to allow the removal of an internal wall. I was not very impressed with the service provided. A supposed 9" wall turned out to be only 4" thereby a "nib" became a pier, requiring extra foundation work. Furthermore, no consideration was given to the foundations in general and some under-pinning was required to provide adequate support. Both of the above items should have been revealed / considered at the time of the survey.”

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that you were not completely satisfied with the service you received, however as previously discussed, without areas having been opened, up certain assumptions needed to be made. On opening up the areas, we then adjusted the calculations as necessary as a priority.

“Pros Very good report, report emailed and hard copy posted. Cons No notification given that the survey had actually been carried out on the day specified. Had to ask for notification that the report was ready before payment. Took about a week before report was ready.”

“Very impressed with the detail of the survey. I received it within five working days which was a little over the time frame expected but it was clear, easy to read and suggested areas to investigate further. I would use again. A reasonable price for an informative report.”

“From start to finish the experience was excellent. Friendly staff on the phone, really good communication throughout the process, and I got the report really soon after the survey was completed - the survey was done on a Friday afternoon and I had the report emailed to me on the following Wednesday, with the hard copy arriving in the post the next day. The report itself was really detailed and thorough; everything was explained and had plenty of photos to support the descriptions. It even had suggestions for improvements/repairs that might be needed with timescales and expected costs so was a really useful tool. Overall, very satisfied :-)”

“Generally quite a good report. When I spoke to the sellers about the checks carried out; I was surprised to hear that the review didn't cover the functionality incumbent of the heating system. It has overall provided us with the confidence that there are no major fsults with the prospective property.”

“I was very impressed by the service provided. The time from my initial contact to the completion of the Building Survey was very short - something that was important for me. There is a great deal of (very helpful) detail in the report, and it was always easy getting in touch with the office. Compared to other quotes I received, the price of the survey was extremely competitive. I feel that the survey was outstanding value for money and I would recommend Allcott Associates without hesitation.”
