I Ordered for next working day which would have been Tuesday 21st which was ok as it was my wifes christmas present .you emailed me to say that there would be a delay as the number of orders was excessive causing a delay .As it was Christmas i would have thought you would have anticipated this or taken down the next working day quote.I emailed you back requesting you get the boots to me by the Wednesday evening as we were going away and you did not have courtesy to respond to me.The boots arrived on Thursday morning which for me was too late for Christmas .The order was only placed with you because you stated next working day.

Good afternoon Richard, Thank you for your email. I can see our customer service manager has since been in contact to advise you of the issues we had over the Christmas period with Covid. Unforunetly due to the business being hit by covid the majority of our staff were at home isolating, for this reason, the remaining staff we did have were in the warehouse trying to get orders out as quickly as possible but sadly we could not meet the demands of free next day delivery service and our emails became backlogged. I ordered a pair of men’s Barker shoes with an offer to include a free pair of cedar shoe trees. The shoe trees did not arrive. The matter was dealt with very efficiently and effectively.

I got my order , well priced and the quality I would expect....its just the time to ship was slow, the communication was poor and the means to contact them was slow....it was the lead up to Christmas but if you offer an online presence then the service (phone lines and logistics) needs to scale with demand. If the order had been processed quickly then I would not have tried to call or email saving on the customer servicing costs.... Maybe because it was leading up to Christmas the service wasn't great. Ordered on 7th December, tried to call the weekend of 11-12 December but called out of hours so was diverted to voicemail. Called 14/12 and all calls were still diverted to voicemail (tuesday), I emailed them. I eventually got through on the phone on 15/12 and was waiting in the telephone queue and got all the way down to position 5 and was cut off. Just as I was about to redial, they responded to my email to say my order was being processed. The order arrived 16/12. On 20/12 they closed the phone lines due to a covid outbreak which was after my order was processed.

They sent me the wrong coat, ignored all my calls and emails, I now have to return the coat at my own expense in order to get a refund!

I can see a member of the customer service team tried to contact you on 21st December and left you a voicemail message. We apologized for the mistake and advised you we had sent you a pre-paid returns label via DPD so it would not cost you anything to return the item. Our customer service manager has also tried to follow this up, but unfortunately, we cannot get a hold of you on the number provided on your account. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Delivery took longer than expected although it did arrive in time for Christmas. Tried to phone to enquire about status but recorded message said phone lines had been taken down due to staff shortages. Therefore, sent several emails but no reply received. Item did arrive just before Christmas but would have expected a reply to emails and apology. Additionally, there was no email to inform me item had been shipped. Communication not good. Rather disappointing overall.

Your order was on the 6 working day delivery timeframe and I can see you have received your order within the advised timeframe. Unforunetly our business was hit by covid in December and the majority of the customer service team were at home isolating. The staff we did have in were busy in the warehouse getting orders out in time for Christmas. For this reason, our phone lines were off (advised on the website) and our emails became backlogged. Order took longer than stated too arrive but put that down to Christmas although it did say it would only take 6 days. Coat was too big so wanted to exchange it for a smaller one but had to return wait for a refund and reorder. Would have preferred a straight exchange. Also no returns label supplied. Still waiting for the refund so unable to afford to order the correct size coat yet.

Item ordered on 14th December still not received on 30th, and was to have been a Christmas present. It appears to have only been dispatched on 23rd DEcember. 2 email requests for update remain unanswered at time of writing.
