“I was struggling to find a second-hand spare part for my wifes Daihatsu Charade and remembered I had used them about 4 years ago & they managed to source the part I needed. So I saw them on the web & put in a request. Sure enough 3 parts were sourced and I chose the one I thought best. The part was delivered fairly quickly and was in good condition. “Ordered a BMW 116i Engine with CORRECT part code and received a MINI engine (the engine mounts were stamped MINI doh!). Refused to return at their cost and lost £50 as I had to pay to return before I was refunded. Oh.....also ordered a turbo for the BMW engine which didn't arrive at all (some lame excuse that you can't send a turbo with the engine...…..my arse) - Avoid these cowboys.”

“Came back with a quote fairly quickly with exactly what I wanted. Got in touch with the dealer (AAH Automotive). At the time his card reader was not working, though he said it would be in two days and I asked him to let me know when he was up-and-running. True to his word he called me and I purchased the part. He forecast 5-6 days delivery and it actually arrived the following day. Would recommend !st Choice Spares without hesitation and AAH Automotive were also excellent.”
“1st Choice as a concept is brilliant. I have used them many times always with positive results.
This time however I had an issue (with a 3rd party not 1stChoice)
I advertised for an ignition barrel and next day received 7 quotes at different prices. I chose one and called them.
I paid for the item on Monday morning - my car was In a garage and I borrowed a car while it was being fixed - and was told it would arrive Tuesday/Wednesday so ok.
Wednesday - no item so called and told it would be Thursday/Friday
Called Saturday and was told it would be Monday/Tuesday. Called Tuesday on and informed they could not find the key even though 3 times they had told me it had been sent. Asked for refund which took 3 more phone calls over the next 3 days. Still had to find another trader with the part which took another 4 days.
Problem is the traders don’t have the item in the shelf but is still in the car so can never be 100% sure if trader integrity
