“My mother was 98 when she passed away she had been in a care home for 2.5 yrs, my mum only had myself and my family left, my dad and her siblings had all passed away. My mum suggested that I look into PC, which I did and was so delighted to have chosen them . I was conscious that my wife had never really recovered from loosing her mother with MND and our kids had watched her go from living on her own to being totally dependent on the care home. So I made the choice to use PC and take all the extra heart ache away . My mum passed away on 15 th December, peacefully in the home at 7:40 pm and by 9:30 I had received a call from PC reassuring me that they would be taking care and looking after my mum… I arranged to speak to them the following morning. I did so and was put in contact with Laura, who would be my personal contact at PC for anything a needed.. my mum had been collected by PC that morning and was in their care.. they kept me in the picture at all times to where my mum was and that she was safe and being looked after . They dealt with the medical examiner report and then put me in contact with the local registry office to register the death . After that up dates we received regarding the cremation date and that I still could have attended if I wanted to … after that I had chosen to have the ashes hand delivered, this duly happened by one on the nicest ladies I have spoken to or met, it was a perfect end to my mums life . I have now organised a ‘ celebration’ meal and drinks for my family and close friends at a time to suit us all … 100% I would recommend PC . I would be more than happy to speak to anyone who finds themselves in my situation.”

“I have used pure cremation twice for my dad last year and just recently my uncle. I've found them very helpful, respectful and professional both times. I dealt with John both times over the phone. I would highly recommend the service provided if you don't want a traditional service. We held a very private memorial and planted 2 trees at home after we were told the committal had happened as only me and my mum only family left.”

“Pure Cremation was the choice of my late mother who opted for the most basic plan as she didn’t want a traditional funeral as at 94 she had survived most of her family and friends. As her son I did not agree with her decision. The company was attentive and efficient immediately following her passing and removed her body promptly to their chapel of rest. Following registration of her death they appraised me when her cremation would take place although would not commit to a time. They also booked a day and time for us to scatter her ashes in their garden of remembrance, which was her wish. This was the last time Pure Cremation contacted me, failing to inform me her cremation had actually taken place. I contacted them had this confirmed and confirmed the time and attendance at her scattering. This event was so clinical and the staff member insisted on referring to my mother as Mrs S throughout. They didn’t even offer condolences. The so called garden of remembrance was the grassed areas either side of the access road and surrounding their car park. We found the whole process cold and undignified. Had I known all this I would have ignored her wishes and given her the send off she deserved. Pure Cremation make their service sound so appealing on the TV. Do your due diligence before signing up if you can afford do say goodbye the traditional way.”
