“We went to the mortgage company to get a clear idea on what we could afford for our next home. After an initial meeting with Steve we came away with a very clear picture of what was achievable for us and were delighted that we could afford much more than we’d anticipated after doing checks online. Steve talked us through various options, understood our current financial situation and provided advice that helped us to secure a property that we’d previously never considered to be in budget. Steve continued to be helpful throughout the process, answering many questions with the same enthusiasm that made wanting to work with him such an easy decision to begin with. “Steve was fantastic, and so was Bethany! When we started the process of buying our first home, almost everyone told us it would be one of the most stressful experiences of our lives. Thankfully, that couldn’t have been further from the truth. Steve and Bethany were professional, responsive, transparent, and genuinely mindful of our personal circumstances and preferences, leaving no stone unturned. Not only did Steve secure us an excellent mortgage rate, but he also recommended a fantastic solicitor and surveyor, helped us arrange our insurance, and answered every question we had along the way. Most of our meetings with Steve were face to face, which we really appreciated, but he was also only ever a phone call or text message away whenever we needed him (and still is as we proceed, even after being paid - something you rarely see nowerdays!) In the grand scheme of buying our first home, the fee for this service was negligible compared to the stress, uncertainty, and sleepless nights it saved us. We now have complete confidence that everything has been set up properly to support our future. We couldn’t recommend Steve and Bethany highly enough. “Gill at The Mortgage Company was brilliant. Over the course of almost a year of my house search she was with me every step of the way. Being self-employed, my financial circumstances were quite fluid which meant quite a few updates to my details but Gill was with there to help me through all of them with clear instructions and helpful yet realistic guidance. I asked a lot of questions and they were all answered in a timely manner, no problems. Could I have gone elsewhere and got the same servcice at a lower cost? Maybe, but the piece of mind provided was worth it's weight in gold to me. Gill and the rest of the team (who helped me at the later stages of signing the mortgave agreement) were invaluable and were always on hand by phone or email which was super helpful. Recommended!”
