“The meat is always outstanding however this time I ordered two Tomahawk steaks which were packaged at the bottom of the box below 25 chicken wings and numerous ice packs. This had caused the stakes to become squashed and out of shape. I contacted customer services and was offered a 10% discount on my next order, which, considering the price I paid for the order seemed inadequate.”

“The Steaks, sausages , bacon are amazing !! pork tenderloin, pictures looks a lot bigger . Chicken is lovely but on the expensive side, I believe. I understand why the cost is there .”

“Steaks, etc ordered appear excellent, though have yet had a chance to cook/eat any. Certainly service was excellent, packaging better than others we've used, and deliver on time. Look forward to eating soon - and hopefully ready to place a further order!”

“Good and efficient but like all butchers they tend to cut off too much of the fat which is where the flavour comes from. Ifyou are going to cut the fat off you may as well have lamb which is less expensive. Presentation and delivery very good.”

“As a first time buyer, I was unsure of what would be received. Having only tried the cumberland sausages from the order I have to say it was really nice, old style like i remember from years ago. When I get organised I will order again. I'd like to see traditional haggis on the options list.”

“We ordered a shoulder if.mutton as well as additional items to bring the cost up to.kevel required for free delivery. Mutton and beef mince have been cooked and eaten and both were absolutely delicious. We are looking forward to eating other items from Swakedale. Unfortunately the high quality of Sawledale products was let down by delivery service. Meat didn't arrive on promised date and was looking at alternative locally available for substitutes should order notvarrive in time. Hence only 4 stars. An online fresh food retailer is only as good as its courier service.”

“Great meat in top condition let down by a packaging problem with one pack of meat but received a very quick and fair response from Customer Services. I would have no hesitation in using them again.”

“Customer service was good, the meat did not come into them on time so it was a day late, no problem they rang and pre-warned. The 4 koftas were flat, not round as they had been placed under heavier meat. minor point though.”
