Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“I needed specific requirements regarding my parents home insurance. I found Stanhope (Stuart to be precise) very helpful and understanding. We had a policy sorted out in no time. Would recommend.”

“I find using a broker the most effective way to obtain insurance. They understand your needs and can answer your questions easily. Online, it's a nightmare as there are questions you either don't understand, as insurers have their own language, or it insists on a box being completed when there isn't actually anything to complete. I my case he online question was re floods "in the area or in the property"? In the area, yes, but not in the house. It insisted I input a damage valuation. There was none and wouldn't accept £0 for and answer. That drove me to seek a broker and thankfully, I found Donna at Stanhope. We have a years insurance at much less than the 3 monthly terms were were given previouslyand it was a painless process and dealing with a human is the way to go. I received a nice email from a Director to do a review and he put (happy Euro semi-final day) in the email. I should advise him I am a Scot! Nearly lost a star or three there sir! (Only joking). Thank you Stanhope. Will use you again when our own insurance comes round.”

“Prompt presentation of renewal materials, but they failed to disclose the increase in the Product Fee from £20 to £50. They also failed to explain exactly what this Product Fee was.”

“I was so impressed with Stanhope insurance. They were the only company to sort me out with an insurance policy on my unoccupied property, at the quality i needed, in time to get my purchase through before the stamp duty deadline. Thanks team!”
