About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“Bought Hurtta weekend warrior harness, very dissapointed, even though it was slightly tight, she could back out of it. £3.99 for p&p, £3.99 to send it back.”

Hello Garth, Sorry to hear you weren't happy with your order. Whilst the Hurtta Weekend Warrior harnesses are great, they are not for dogs who like to escape. We do offer a small range of Houdini proof harnesses which can be found on our website. You may find something that is more suited to your dogs needs than the Weekend Warrior can offer. “I have been looking for a decent padded harness for a long time my old lady (17) has quite a few lumps and bumps, this is the only one that suits her situation. Well made and well padded. Bright yellow too.”

“Very good customer service and advice on options to replace my working dogs gear he really feels the cold and because he's working he's hard on his kit most pets are out 4hrs tops he can be out 11hrs easy. Their advice and service is excellent and delivery was fast.”

“I bought 2 harnesses for my Dachsunds - one of which is perfect however sadly the other is unsuitable as it rubs and has removed skin on the other dog who has shorter legs and so not suitable. Brilliant product but unfortunately tricky fit on smaller dogs.”

Hello Sarah, Our Ruffwear sizing guide is 100% accurate, however, we understand that this is not always ideal as dogs come in all shapes and sizes. One thing you could try is loosening the neck-straps. What this will do is allow you to drop the harness further down your dog's back allowing more space between the armpit and the harness. If by doing this, the harness is too big and doesn't fit your dog correctly, you can always return it for an exchange. If you visit our website and scroll to the very bottom of the page, you will find our returns centre. Just follow the instructions to set up your return. “The ramp ordered had to be returned as it wasn't suitable for our vehicle, not having the expected lip to attach it to the boot. No problem whatsoever in arranging a return and refund so it's a reputable company to be considered for future purchases.”
