About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“I needed some help with getting the size right & received excellent service. Pickle is a rescue, very recently home with us from the Dogs Trust and we wanted something really special for her. The Parker that we bought, was perfect and fits her beautifully. I will definitely be making further purchases in the future. Maybe a rain coat for the spring? I would definitely recommend this product and the provider. Excellent!”

“Great product. Fleece is quite dense so good against the odd shower or snow flurry and keeps warm when wet. Found the reflective piping very effective. I assume most people would put the fleece under a harness or use a collar but a harness/ lead opening would have been a nice touch to have the option of wearing it over the harness. In reality though, I found it stays well seated under a harness and stayed in place well. I did unhook the elastics as they were quite annoying for the dog but all in all pretty happy with this product and recommend it.”

“I have 2 chocolate labradors, one at 4 years old that never stops still a d the other at 10 years old that still loves to go fishing with me but suffers terribly with bad joints. I have a few coats that I just wrap around him when it's raining just to keep him dry but they don't cover his legs, this coat is by no means cheap but the quality is fantastic and he doesn't mind wearing it. He stays warm and dry no matter what the conditions throw at us.”

“The service with this company is outstanding, I ordered a rain coat for my dog unfortunately had to return it due to being too large and had a new one immediately, the whole process from ordering to getting the new sized coat took less than a week. Absolutely love the coat feels and looks very good quality would highly recommend.”

Thank you so much for the review. What a fantastic photo of your furry friend! Looking fabulous in their new front range harness. Whilst the prices are high, we don't fall short on quality. The harness has foam padding for extra comfort, there is four points of adjustment for optimal fit and two lead attatchment points. Can't forget, the stylish colour options also available. “I have been so pleased with the service provided by Mountain Dog. We are rescuing a lurcher and had been advised by the shelter that he was wearing a size medium harness. Unfortunately when we next visited and tried the harness on him, it was too small. This left us with a very small window to return the medium and order a new large harness. I instructed the exchange as soon as I was able and put a note in with the return saying if it was at all possible, we would need the new harness by Saturday as that's when we are adopting our dog. Mountain Dog were quick and efficient in processing the return and sending out the replacement, it arrived in just 2 days. Could not recommend this company enough.”

“Coat I ordered online didnt fit. Nobody's fault, just have an odd shaped dog. Emailed and received immediate reply with offer to replace. Went to the shop which was local and had great help from staff. Fantastic customer service. This company want to get it right...hard to find nowadays. Would recommend.”

“Best price on Ruffwear Beacon dog light and very quick delivery. Ruffwear is often referred to as the Patogonia equivalent gear for dogs, and that's a pretty accurate description. It's expensive but you can't fault the design, quality and longevity of their products. Mountain Dog manage to squeeze a bit of a discount off Ruffwear gear which is very welcome and rare, most retailers sell at the full rrp. Great stuff.”
