We had a lovely stay at tree tops by the falls. The location was fantastic as it was close to everything we needed and perfect for exploring the area. The property had all the amenities we needed, which made our stay really comfortable. It felt clean, cosy, and homely throughout. The hosts were proactive in reaching out to us and made it easy for us to contact them if needed. While the space was generally well-kept, it is a little dated and could benefit from some modernisation.

We had an email prior to our arrival that said the owners might drop by to say hello. It would have been a nice personal touch had we had that opportunity. Otherwise we enjoyed our relaxing stay. we had difficultiy locking the door when we left; the lock was problematic.

It was useful information to receive. However it would be useful just to communicate through air bnb rather than switching between air bnb and email

Hi Lauren, thanks for your feedback. As you will have seen, our pre-arrival email is quite detailed, including links to Google Maps, images, etc. Unfortunately, Airbnb strips this information out if we use their messaging system, which means you wouldn't receive the important information required to access and find the property. For this reason, we need your email address so we can send the email directly to you. Kind regards Adam

Communication and customer support excellent. Cleaning service a little weak in that the property had a number of cobwebs and not quite as clean as we would have expected even though the property was in excellent modern condition. Not a huge issue but would have been 5 stars otherwise

Happy with the service we received. We have an issue with the website listing however, as cottage was described as dog friendly, however the T and Cs and subsequent emails we received after booking states -dogs not be left alone in property under any circumstances. It would be more transparent to show this clearly on the website listing and not squirrelled away in the T and Cs. This would potentially put us off booking again.

The staff at Herdwick Cottages were extremely responsive and polite. They responded to email queries very promptly, and went above and beyond to improve our stay by updating arrival and departure times.

I had a problem finding the high chair at Cherry how so rang yourselves. It was suggested that I ring the caretaker directly after herdwick cottages had spoken to him and the high chair was not where it was supposed to be. My husband felt herdwick cottages should have resolved this for us.
