“I appreciated the friendly response from staff. They called in advance of my arrival and attempted to assist when the TV did not connect to the WIFI. It would have been even better if they had been able to rectify the problem.”

“Staff got in touch with me to see if we needed any special requests before we set off on are short break ***** the only issues we had was the mop was left in the porch on entering the property and it smelt There was a damp patch in bedroom near the on sweet which I think came from a leak in the shower cubicle as there was water patch in the living room ceiling”

“Very organised booking agent. Quick confirmation to booking and full arrival details sent in advance. Received a phone call the day before in case we had any questions. We had one issue with the property while away which the agent quickly resolved by email. I'd book again with them.”

“Proactive and supportive. Was a bit disappointed with the last minute news of water repairs happening in the road in front of the house. I think the team may have known this earlier and should have let us know with an option to change.”

I was disappointed to learn that you believed we had prior knowledge of this work and perhaps withheld this information from you; however, this is not the case. We were notified by the property owner at 09:55 on 20 March. Additionally, I can confirm from our email records that Maria contacted you at 12:30 on the same day to inform you of the works. “I've been holidaying in the Lake District for over 30 years, 3 or 4 times per year, always in cottages and have used several booking companies in that time. Herdwick Cottages are the only company that I will deal with now. Their service is exemplary, staff are lovely, responsive and incredibly helpful and the cottages we have stayed at are well described, well maintained and clean. I highly recommend them”
