“Excellent service. Initially booked via Booking.com but we were very quickly contacted by Herdwick Cottage’s with all relevant information. The communication throughout was great. The cottage we rented was fabulous. When completing a review of said cottage, was immediately sent a 10% off voucher which we used straight away as we had been looking at their other properties. We regularly travel to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales and had actually never heard of Herdwick but I would have no hesitation recommending them or using them again.”

“I received an email shortly before our stay, which gave lots of details and made things very smooth. We might have liked slightly better signage to the cottage once on site, as it took us a couple of attempts to find the right place! Apart from that the communication was wonderful and all very smooth. Thank you.”

“Hi, nice cottage, and very helpful in letting us in a bit earlier. it would have been nice if there was some milk in the fridge - all the long life milk supplied was best before 8th June 2025, and was completely off, wasting one cup of tea. The general cleanliness could also have been better - there were a lot of cobwebs in the upstairs loo. But we really enjoyed the games room, the wood burner and the telly.”
