“Keeping me updated... Emails with great instructions, information about cottage, and everything about restaurants pubs and instructions on how to get to Kendal when leaving motorway. The day before we were due to stay at the cottage we received a phone call asking if we had received all the information we needed.....could not ask for better service.”

“We always get a courtesy call the day before we go to a Herdwick property, which is an impressive personal touch. In addition, this time we got an email in advance checking about our needs in the particular cottage we had booked, following some feedback we'd left last time. That attention to detail is rare these days and much appreciated.”

“A courteous, knowledgeable and approachable team is obviously behind Herdwick Cottages’ superb customer service. I can not fault any aspect of the process. I was guided through the booking system ( when I got a little confused by the deposit ) and it really helped me. I like being able to speak to someone on the phone, as well as use the online booking process. On this basis, I decided to stay at one of their properties. Our family get-together was Patterdale perfect! Many thanks for selecting carefully which properties are accepted into your flock!!”
