Crazy Color® was launched in 1977 in the midst of the punk rock explosion in Britain. In a time that anarchy and free expression ruled supreme, one hairstylist was growing tired of the same natural color palette. Renato Brunas was at the height of his hairdressing career and was set to push the boundaries of color even further when he developed a new range of rainbow shades. Thus Crazy Color® was born and over 40 years later our ethos is the same, we want you to express yourself unapologetically. In every iconic pink bottle is a color that is ready to turn heads. Don‘t be the trend make your own. Mix it your way to create a shade to match your style. Our range has expanded to 41 colors over the years and each decade gathers new fans. They continue to inspire us and remind us that hair color has no limits.

“Love crazy colour - so many colours to choose from, easy to work with. Ive recently been using Pink Kissimo, Burgundy, and Hot Purple. Would definitely recommend”

“I don’t have a single good thing to say about this product and if I could leave 0* I would. The product is so runny and liquidy it’s like water which makes application impossible. I used three bottles for half of my hair (split dye) and it STILL did not come out the colour it was supposed to/it says it would. It was patchy, basically pastel, and I cried when I saw how it looked like. My hair feels like it’s ruined.”

“Lovely hair dye should come with gloves and you should also do a pre lightener with no bleach peroxide or anything else”

“The bleach and colour are fantastic, they worked pretty well, and the green is exactly as I'd hoped it would be. Unfortunately one of the three dyes were half full, which was a tad inconvenient. Overall though, awesome product.”

“Rebel UV is advertised as hot pink, so I expected hot pink when applying. The bottle says it works best on bleached hair, so I was fairly sure I was in the clear colour-wise. Instead, the colour came out incredibly pale despite being left to sit for over half an hour before being washed off. It also came out patchy, which could theoretically be user error, but I had far more dye in the bottle than necessary for my short hair and my whole head of hair felt fully saturated. On a plus side, the delivery was quick and efficient. Just a shame about the product.”

“I recently purchased Ruby Rouge semi permanent due to my original Color being out of stock although the colour looked vibrant it was extremely disappointing, as the colour ran stained my garments which was a real shame, I washed my hair with crazy Color shampoo and my own and this still stained my nails I purchased a few bottles and was told to upload batch No (I’ve done so) and this will be investigated. In addition, correspondence is extremely poor with the crazy Color team stating they will get back to me, I’m still waiting this is terrible customers service. I’ve been using crazy Color since I was 14 years old, and am now in my 50’s this shows over the years I am a avid customer and believe at the time crazy color revolutionised hair colouring, as it’s kind to my hair and it’s vegan friendly hence why I am still here!!! So come on crazy color show the same quality of care to your customers by corresponding when need be!!!! I would like a refund”

“I ordered the Fire red from another source & although I love the colour it turned out…it’s bright pink not red at all kind of disappointed was put onto very light blonde hair also”

“I couldn’t believe how vibrant and long lasting the result was even on my light brown unbleached/virgin hair. It lasts more than 10-12 washes that’s for sure (I actually have visible roots now, 2 months later), so if you have commitment issues with hair colour avoid it but if you want something super robust this is it!”

“First of all, this hair dye doesn't come out black, it comes out a dark brown, nowhere near as dark as it advertises. Secondly, expect it to get on everything, even after your hair is completely dry. I understand hair dye can transfer but, a week after I've dyed it is ridiculous. Finally, it did not last even one wash.”

“I got the lavender colour and it turned out as a grey blue colour and I used a full bottle on my hair, I followed all directions properly too.”

Purple does have undertones of blue and may have gone bluer due to any remaining color in your hair. All of our hair colors with the correct aftercare should last up to 8-12 washes.

“I’ve used this product before when I had lighter hair and again now with darker hair , the pictures of the brighter pink was when I had blonde hair , I absolutely love this colour I’d say it’s more pink than red in colour but pictures will probably help more”

“Don’t bother unless you have white blonde hair. Doesn’t show up at all and colour charts on website are wildly inaccurate.”

For our semi-permanent hair dye, we do recommend lightening your hair to a level 9 or 10 (blonde) before application. The result may have also not been as advertised on our shade chart due to any remaining colour in the hair.
