About Crazy Color:

Crazy Color® was launched in 1977 in the midst of the punk rock explosion in Britain. In a time that anarchy and free expression ruled supreme, one hairstylist was growing tired of the same natural color palette. Renato Brunas was at the height of his hairdressing career and was set to push the boundaries of color even further when he developed a new range of rainbow shades. Thus Crazy Color® was born and over 40 years later our ethos is the same, we want you to express yourself unapologetically. In every iconic pink bottle is a color that is ready to turn heads. “The colour is great and the price is reasonable, but gloves etc are needed. I wish I'd read the reviews first but it stains everything and they need better instructions. Will not be buying again”

Hi, thank you for the review; we really appreciate it. Sorry that you have had a negative experience dying your hair. We do recommend lightening hair to level 9 or 10 (blonde) before applying, to achieve the best result. However, there may have been no colour pay off for a number of factors such as; if any of the previous colours remained in the hair, condition, porosity, etc. If you have any more questions regarding the application and your result, please contact our customer service team.

“Ordered the Lilac. Turned into a dark, jean blue. After drying I saw it lighten up a little bit but it’s still blue. Not blue-purple, but blue. And the color didn’t hold on yellower patches of my bleached hair. My hair is fairly white, but some patches are yellower than others and the color didn’t hold and left a green tint.”

“Didn’t do anything for my coloured hair a waste of £10 when I could’ve brought a box of hair dye instead”

“The actual customer service was great and received the lilac colouring no problems. I dyed my hair a shade lighter than necessary to make sure I'd get a good shade of lilac and after two attempts at dying it with the lilac on the top of my head, it will only come out as an aqua or blue colour. The blue colour is nice so not a 1 star review! But definitely not purple/lilac!”

“It is blue! My hair is light brown, with lots of grey/white. Even the grey/white bits have come out blue - a nice shade of turquoise, but definitely nothing close to violets or any of the purples. Even the gloves I used are blue! I think that this colour was inspired by the song: don’t it make my brown hair blue!”

“Graphite made hardly any impression on my naturally white hair (75yr old) while Iced Mauve is a very gentle pinkish colour. I'm not easily deterred so have now ordered Cyclamen and Pinkissimo hoping for a more noticeable and slightly hipster vibe!”

“i love the dye itself but the carrier that delivered my package didn't alert my parents that where in at the time of delivery (11.30am) that the package had arrived, no knocked door and no one rang the doorbell it was left on the floor in the rain until I had gotten home at 3.45pm. so this is the main reason that my rating is so low. delivery service absolutely appalling!!”
