"A great all around choice for hikes and treks, superlight, good support, just enough cushion without being soft and footprint cut close so not flopping around. Very comrtable, no break in needed, standing up to rocky and moor treks through the bogs with no leakage (unless you go in up to your knees). Great choice for a wide variety of terrain, snap lock lacing keeps the tongue straight and allows for cinching down the lower and upper sections seperately for big ups and downs. Highly recommended. \r\n"

"I have waited until I could properly review these boots in the Lake District peaks, as well as the hills of the Midlands. I have done several day-long hikes back to back, as well as strolls around woodland paths.\r\nPositives: The lacing system is simple yet effective. I have not had a single lace come undone. The sole gives excellent grip on all terrain, cleans very quickly and has an excellent depth. The high toe sole and coated toe and heel panels provide great protection for the suede upper from the odd rock kick, wet grass and fallen wood. The stiffness of the sole provides excellent foot control over hard, rocky scrambles and the rolling profile encourages you to take the next step.\r\nNegatives: The embossed design in the suede faded after a few washes, but they still look great. The toe eyelets, whilst giving great fitment, are an easy trap for mud and require a full unlace to get clean. My pair had a few marks from manufacturing, but given the 60% discount I wasn\u2019t complaining.\r\nAs my first hiking boot, I am very happy with the Randir GTX. For the price of \u00a3110, I do not think you could find a more comfortable, capable boot that looks this good with such high quality materials and design."
